I think he might mean as opposed to:
a) a pure kinetik novel
OR
b) a sandbox game with less grinding
Personally I find the grinding too much.
There was even more grinding in the earlier releases, so we can call ourself lucky that it has been reduced, but it is still excessive IMO.
I don't think a full save is useful. Since the replay gallery is extremely minimal (it covers give or take 20% of the lewd scenes and in a concise style with dialogues removed), and since most of the lewd scenes are NOT repeatable... What are you gonna do with a full save? Load it to just see "THE END" and the credits?
From what i read in prior post ppl were saying the character gallary page was essentially the gallery, but i guess i was wrong, this game really does need one though

There is also the numerous tangents that the game veers off to. And the throw away sex scenes that were obviously just added to appease the Patrons, especially the well known phenomenon in Patreon and Kickstarter game of the supporters demanding sex scenes with side characters that have nothing to do with the story. There must be thousands of such post on this very forum.
I keep hoping for a fan remake that strips out the bloat, maybe even explores some of the side stories that were never developed, or gives the player some real choices on some of the relationships.

Right. I think many of us agree on that. Like I mentioned before, some of it could've been reduced quite significantly by allowing travel to any "hub" from anywhere. At home? Open the map, click on downtown and MC travels there using the most optimal transport available, with appropriate time spent on action depending on where she travels from. Repeatable actions such as streaming should've just became a generic 3-4 render slide show with no dialog, once all the progress steps has been played through. Others, like harasser at casino should just fuck the right off to oblivion once went all the way. Furthermore shouldn't keep spamming back if no progress can be made due to insufficient courage. Stuff like that.
