is tehre still no guide for this? i can't find ways to increase courage beyond 4. yes, I know about drinking alcohol. but that just gets me 5, I need at least 6, then 8 then 19 and 20. people keep going on and on how they're at 30 or more but never give any advice beyond just drink alcohol and doing things that require courage. well I'm out of things that require courage at 4 or 5...
also note, if the only way is to fuck a bunch of guys... pass. I'll sooner use the mod than do that.

Cheating on courage may cause softlocks, because step-by-step courage progression is tied to the triggering of many events.
Of course, you can cheat on whatever variable you want, but it's unlikely you can see all the content that way.
(Yeah, I know grinding is annoying in this game)

that's the problem, I don't know what to grind... I'm stuck at courage 4 and have no clue what actions I can take to improve it...
also if the content I miss by improving courage by not fucking guys, so far the only option is that one trucker dude on the highway, then I'm fine with using the mod to skip it.

It's very difficult to answer precisely without having a save file and without reverse-engineering the code, but generally speaking:
1) the game is quite buggy even not using the cheat mod
2) the game logic heavily depends on variables progressing smoothly in the intended order and at the intended pace, so MANUALLY MODIFYING THE STATUS VARIABLES CAN CAUSE SOFTLOCKS.
I would suggest cheating ONLY with: money, hunger, mood, sleepiness, body odor, cum on body, rain, pregnancy, inspiration, makeup, perfume, arousal.
I strongly recommend NOT CHEATING with: courage, rethoric, strength, vocals, relationship points.
The key point is: something is triggered by variable X increasing from 10 to 11, if you manually modify variable X straight from 10 to 12 that "something" is never triggered and becomes impossible to be triggered leaving you in an inconsistent status.
