Ren'Py Broken Sky [v0.5.2 Public] [Wistala]

Before I get too far into the game, I'm hoping someone can answer three questions for me. First, can you play as a switch or do you need to be either sub or dom? Second, does one of the two currently have more content or are they about equal? Lastly, does disabling sharing prevent you from sleeping around without consequences (e.g. agreeing to date Lilly but fooling around with other characters)?

Edit: Also, after reading some of the earlier comments, I'd also like to know if disabling certain tags (mainly NTR) removes that content from the actual story or if it canonically happens and you just aren't forced to see it. If it's the latter then I'm afraid this game ain't for me.

It's an either/or situation. Whole dom/sub thing is based on points from choices. Can see them in the phone menu somewhere. There's no middle ground or taking turns. As for content, you're not locked out of anything based on it. It just changes dialogue when it comes to sex or some sexual scenes. With the clearest example being Lilly, because she gets aggressive if you let her dom. I think it might've also slightly changed how sex scenes happen with her? Can't really recall with that last one. As for sharing, I can't speak to the toggles since I left everything on. However! If you wanted to do a harem. There is a way to do it later on. Lilly will pull you to the side as the game progresses. To talk about your relationship. Or give another chance to start one if you didn't say yes the 1st time. Part of the conversation is to establish the type of relationship. And she is open to whatever you want.

As to the edit bit. I'm guessing you're speaking on the comments between me and another person? If so, the situation we were speaking on does not happen if you have the toggles off.

Ok, good to know that I shouldn't put in effort to be a switch and should instead go pure sub or dom. I was indeed referring to the conversation between you and another person and I'm glad to hear that turning toggles off entirely removes certain content. I'm fine with text-depictions of the extreme stuff so I leave that on, but really despise NTR or sharing with other dudes (don't mind chicks though) so I turn those off. Ok, good to know that I shouldn't put in effort to be a switch and should instead go pure sub or dom.

If I remember correctly you can be a switch*, Sub and Dom track points separately, so you can level up one without lowering the other, and access both dom locked and sub locked routes.
That said, there aren't dedicated switch routes, if a character has both scenes you will see whichever you have more points in, if you don't lean strongly either way the character will default to their preferred role, you don't get to pick which version you'd like to see.

I personally get the feeling that there is more to it.
After some attempts it seems that the characters have a modifier to your score to check if you are going to be dom or sub in the scene.
I. e. to Dom Lilly you need to have 2 more dom points than sub points. And getting the option for a subby scene with Wistala needs a lot of sub-points. This and the interactions of her sex scene seems to me that she is a sub-leaning dom. That could, however, just be my sleep-deprived brain tricking me into seeing patterns where none are.

That reminds me. I took a peak at some of the scenes I haven't unlocked after I reached the sandbox part and I started to wonder about one thing:

Anyways, seeing some scenes makes me wonder if I should actually deactivate some toggles in the future. To often NTR is justified with "the big is so massive that I can no longer go back", which I dislike. And considering how the scene I mentioned in the spoiler-part went, it feels like that "logic" is actually going to be at play here too. But the game looks promising enough that I might consider "neutering" the parts wich could annoy me.

I am still doing every other month! The next sub release will be a little early though because I'll be out of town during the normal update time. I'm planning on releasing the next sub version on January 24th!

I'm pretty sure that scene is planned to be rewritten/reworked at some point as well, so "needing" the tags to be disabled will also probably change with that.

There will be some tangible differences to the story but it will mostly effect how certain characters interact with you. It'll also make more sense how the anthro powers will work when the combat system is implemented!
