I never did discover where the key was for the forest shack. Just assumed it would reveal itself. Oh well. The last few chapters are rushed, and kind of disappointing. I loved it in the early game.

You need to go to the 'old tree' on the map (in the desert), during the night. Meet Jane there and after she leaves inspect the tree. You'll find the key.

The walkthrough is empty. I've been drifting along killing bandits. Kind of stuck.

I'm just trying to think of things you need to do in previous update.

Did you protect your ranch with Dakota, Diane & Ivana?
Did you get the gun from Sarah and give it to Dakota?

You could just go back to a save at start at Chapter 4 and go from there, you wouldn't need to go back to the start.
