Brothel King - Girl packs and Mods Collection

I haven't played in a while, so I decided to start up another game. And I figured I'll update the girl packs I made while I'm at it.

That being said, I have a few questions for other pack creators:

1. What software do you guys use? I'm currently using Grabber to get images off of the 'borous, AntiDupl to check for duplicates, and XnConvert to convert to .webp, but was wondering if there were better options out there.

2. Is there any way to search the 'borous using a program (for example, Grabber) and only have it display/download results that are newer? I don't want to be re-downloading all the images I already have in my packs and have to re-sort through them if I don't have to.

3. Any general tips when updating/adding new images to a pack?

For default in the boorus (don't add a sort filter), the images in the first pages are the most recently ones, so just check the first pages and just download page by page, until the last page you know have the images.

So if your character is last update 13-01-2022 (example) check the booru pages firts, check example page 23 a random image, the date is 12-01-2022, then just download in the grabber the first 23 pages.

bro just make my life easier, now I don't have to download individually thank you for sharing this info, I remember start making girlpacks was like a year or 2 ago and I don't have much energy to collect all images by myself.
I got question, do you know any tools that auto name the image files?(even if it's not great, it's good enough that I can check briefly check the image myself to clean up the mistakes) because I could pour all my focus on just coding features for girlpacks

It depends on how you want to rename it. I do have a bulk file renamer program, but I've only used it once or twice years ago so I'm unsure what features it has. Once I'm off work I'll check for you and edit this post with the program name.

So, I don't use this feature myself, but I know grabber actually lets you do that when it downloads the files automatically. In the bottom left, there is a section for "folder" and "name". You can customize the "name" part to have grabber auto name files based on the tags they have on w/e website you are pulling from. The syntax for adding simple tag conditionals is <"tag"?output> (there are a lot more things you can do in there, but this one will be most useful for auto tagging).

To give a specific example: lets say you are grabbing images from some booru. You put <"banana"?apple> as part of the filename. If a picture has the "banana" tag on your source website, grabber will automatically insert apple into the filename. So you can use this to automatically convert tags on the source website, into their corresponding tags that BKing uses.

I would suggest just covering high level stuff so you aren't trying to keep track of a massive conditional filename, and also because getting too specific would rely heavily on other people tagging the image correctly in the first place, so better to keep it general. Also you can shorthand the filename conditions if the tag on the website matches what BKing uses for a tag. So something like this
<"sex" ><"anal" ><"kimono"?geisha >%count%.%ext%
would auto tag stuff that has sex or anal as-is, but it will change the kimono tag from the website to geisha in the filename. The %count% before the file extension is just to have grabber append a number so you don't run into filename collisions.

Alrighty boys, my autistic fixation has moved from painstakingly categorizing porn to painstakingly editing porn into PMVs so probably not going to tag anymore packs. However, I am sitting on a bunch of packs that are full but I cannot bring myself to tag or sort. This includes a pack of the Helltaker girls (almost finished this once, got like 4 of them done last year but my harddrive died and I couldn't restart), a Toki from Blue Archive pack (can't handle any more bunny suits after Asuna), and a Miruko pack with over 2500 files which probably needs a hell of a culling.

Hello, I updated my girls list and got some new girls to spice up the game (176 for now), but unfortunely some do provide some bugs (although not game breaking). I'm just wondering, can webp provide any kind of issues in compatibility? I need to test it a bit more to confirm if that's the case, but till now it's the impression that gave.

Also I'm not sure how to edit the google sheet (maybe I need to login dunno, I hate google in general), but I noticed Kaguya Shinomiya wasn't on the list, but surprisingly was here. I just found that one funny because several girls from that franchise were on the list, but not her lmao. But surpringly that pack at least works pretty fine so far so yeah, here's a thumbs up for the creator.
