Hey ! I'm trying to make some IA art too, and while I'm quite succesfull on some part I would gladly take some advice or just the name of the model used as well as the engine used (stable, etc...)

Oh it's been so long. I remember when I played WoW. My favorite character was the blood elf orphan that wanted to be a rock star when she grew up, and you could take her to a ETC concert during Children's Week.
Sylvanas was great too, I liked her, but I think it may have been a better end to her story to just die at the end of Wrath of the Lich King.

(About this one, i'm usually doing packs about girls i like and they don't have a pack, so i was clueless about why Shogun Raiden doesn't have a pack in the list, i'm not a Genshin player, so didn't knowed she is also named Baal and have a pack with that name :LOL: )

I don't know code, but I have taken the _BK files to make ones for my packs.

I need some advice.

When I playtest them, I note that a lot is random (of course). But there's a part in the _BK file that says

## Origin description must be written in the girl's own words
origin_description =

But the girls never say what I put into the description.

Is that also random but so random that I haven't seen it yet? Or is it meaningless? Or have I missed something else I need to do?

I think this part is where you put your custom description to let players know where she originated, you can see it when you click on the paper I think?
though it doesn't affect gameplay but it's just a small detail to let player know where she's from
You could add in like a events.rpy to create a story for her if you want

This origin description is used when talking to the girl and asking her about her origins. It might be that the origin name you put in shows up in the magic notebook, but I'm not sure.

In the _BK.ini there are two variables to set:

origin = "random"
origin_description = ""

I am guessing that if you leave [origin] itself as "random" the game ignores the [origin_description]. So be sure to provide a custom [origin] as well.
I often add this to girlpacks, for example, my Hinata Hyuga (from Naruto) pack has:

origin = "Konohagakure"
origin_description = "My clan is from the hidden village of Konohagakure in the Land of Fire."

The comment that it should be in the girl's own words is because she will literally say this sentence when you ask her about her origins when interacting with her.

Yes, that's what I thought -- I'm just not seeing it yet. They are saying the right place, but it's not in the chosen language.

For instance, I have Esmerelda saying she's from France, like I wrote in the file, but not the statement I had to accompany it. Instead, it seems that the personality code is kicking in, and they're saying things according to their personality (it seems).

I'm no coder so I am not always certain of what I'm doing.

For example, I have Holli Would. Here's what I have in the _BK file:

## You can provide a custom origin or just "random" (if you do, make sure to include the origin description below)
origin = "Cool World"

## Origin description must be written in the girl's own words
origin_description = "Hey, handsome, I'm from Cool World."

While she definitely says "Cool World" as her origin, it doesn't use the description I wrote. Last time I got something like "My crib is Cool World" which is definitely not something I would write.

(Also, is there a place where you can change what she says when she is first introduced and she gives her name?)

More special girl-specific events would be great. I really like that in Midna's pack.
I understand the hurdle that is for people that just want to throw some porn into a folder and be done. I myself can't find the will to set up events.

Tbh if I ever have to make an event pack for the girls, I need a writer or hopefully I could come up with a story myself for the character or "borrow" some other sources on the internet in order to do so
because creating bland story that is the same for every character is pretty lame af, I did make some for Ram and Rem I think?but other characters I can't seem to do so, mostly because there are no images or sprites for the character expressions that could fit into the story line.
