of course, this is for the developper to say, but my guesses as a long-time lurker:
1. Isn't that what already happens in the game? The dev has hinted at a new district (Industrial) occasionally, but so far, there is no lack of degeneracy and corruption (as can be observed reading the progression in the phone menu "body/stats").
If anything, the game dives into the extreme too early, so imho it would be nice if Bryn was confined to her home district and less extreme encounters for the first few nights (a form of sandbox mode).
I feel hesitant to suggest that though, since the developper is getting suggestions from all sides, and has expressed a feeling of being overwhelmed by people wanting to drag the game down their lane.
2. A heat meter would be an exciting feature, making exploration a bit more challenging. If I'm honest, it is rather easy to avoid encounters at night; I like the game for it, because it shifts the focus of the game on Bryn's mind, and how she feels about it.
There is something like that in the train mission 3, so it is doable. It's more about how the feature should work in detail.
a) What precisely should make the heat meter rise? Being in an exposed spot, like a crossing? Being in the vicinity of people?
b) How would an elevated heat meter effect the situation? Would npcs become more observant, and walk more quickly? What else could happen? would it summon the bald man?
c) The tent idea is a bit confusing. To seek shelter from chasing perverts, Bryn would hide in a tent; access to which she gains by sexual favours to a homeless guy (yuck.). I think that someone chasing down a woman would not stop at a tent entrance, especially not in the heat of the moment. From Bryn's perspective, it's just trading one bad thing for another, so... I wouldn't see her motivation to do that. It could be that Bryn would see an open tent to find shelter, only to discover that it wasn't a good idea - but that plot would be very similar to what happens during the camping mission.
However, it would be nice, if Bryn could discover a hiding spot in every district, just as a fun feature.
I've made the experience that "just a simple feature, easy to implement" is more often than not anything but simple.
Suggesting ideas is tempting (and I am guilty as charged), but I can understand the developpers position if there are (too) many ideas in (too) many directions.
