You probably didn't install the English patch correctly. Here's a step by step by guide from the readme:items shop is all japanes, how to fix this?
It worked for me when I played on my old PC. I haven't installed BB1 on my current playthrough. But I will say this. Makin and Liz sucks ass in this BB2. They will/should be severely outdated by the time you've climbed the tower. Which is the first actual dungeon. Don't get me wrong they are "okay". But they cost way too much for you to effectively use in the start of the game and by the time you can use them in a good way in a full party, they'll be obsolete. So don't break a sweat over them.Hey, can someone help me with getting Maki and Liz in my party? I read that if you have Bunny Black 1 on your computer, you can get them at the start of the game. I have and completed BB1 but it’s not giving me them for some reason? I also read that if you have BB1 on your computer the game auto puts you on the hardest difficulty, and since I was never given a difficulty option, it makes me think that it read that I have BB1 on my computer, so why is it putting me on the hardest difficulty but not giving me the extra party members?
Oh no, I don’t care if their obsolete, I just still want them because I liked their characters and often times like using unique characters like Meryl from BB1 even if their not as good as generic ones. I beat BB1 on the hardest difficulty and had no troubles with it. Hell, I even made a party where I named all the generic characters after characters from the game to pretend their actually going into the dungeon with me, like having a triclops named Elizabeth and succubus named Kateria. Now I’m curious as to why I still don’t have them, do you get them immediately when the game starts or is there an event that unlocks them later? Is there ever a little popup when downloading BB2 that says import BB1 save?It worked for me when I played on my old PC. I haven't installed BB1 on my current playthrough. But I will say this. You should make a simple party to start with. Have a cheap healer and a few damage dealers. The ant man, despite costing 3 is quite good in the start because of his passive. I also suggest you take the "bat" with the scythe for orientation. The unit you absolutely want in your party in the midgame is the chimera. Good offense, good healing, pretty good stats, and it's fully commandable... plus it's insane passive. I suggest you put two of them in your party. Halving magical damage taken to your entire party. One of the only passive defensive skills I suggest you consider is the one that reduces slashing damage. Later on taking the bone spider thing in your party reducing slashing damage taken further is a worthwhile consideration. Slashing damage is really dangerous in this game.
The stuff that happens in the town is hard to miss. There are just events here and there in the dungeons, that sometimes triggers. I think, you will find them all if you farm normally in the area. You should go back and check the "old" first dungeon, after you have cleared the dungeon of the first angel room. There should be a new floor available to be select. There's not much to do, it just triggers some events. Go back there again and again until the dialog is done.Wew, took me about a bit to find the new way to upgrade skills compared to Bunny Black 1. For a while I was worried it took away the ability to customize units. I thought it might unlock at some point in the story so I was trying to be patient lol. I really like a lot of the changes, especially the combat. The way we can customize the stats and abilities of all units now is sweet.
So glad the AI is improved too, a lot less waste with the healing.
Wow the game is a lot more grindy than the first. Maybe because it forced a high level of difficulty since I played BB1, but I've pretty much just been running around for 3 hours farming exp to beat one of the earlyish bosses. I heard it was even easier to miss events in this too, I keep trying to go back to town repeatedly but I'm sure I'll miss a shit ton of stuff anyways.
You can get her unit type after defeating her a couple of times (and sex her), but I don't recall you being able to recruit her specifically. You could rename one of the basic units Kona and RP she is coming along your team. From the time you get them, they are sadly already kind of outdated (imo.).Is Kona recruitable? Damn, I wanted her.
I was hopeful quite a few years ago as some people on Seiha Project page had solved one of the major problems of translating the new game. The translation of the newbies was shut down, as it was too subpar (Engrish) to be associated with the Seiha group. They (the newbies) made the tools freely available, for anyone else to use. Hoping the game would be translated, but no one has taken up the mantle, as far as I'm aware. Being a shame in my opinion, as it is a good game.asking for a friend, how is the situation about BB3??? (haven't started BB2 Yet but about to do it, just finished BB1) i've seen comments here and there that the group of translator that did the 2 previous games are basically dead now. is BB3 not getting a translation??.. on the other hand i've seen a "english interface patch" but is it a full translation?? i doubt it(?)
thanks for the reply, but it's a damn shame to hear this aswell :/, also a damn shame they didn't yea encourage the "newbies" if they're not gonna continue translating it themselves and tbh i'd rather have engrish than not being actually able to play the game at all or understand anything.. hopefully a group in the future does pick it up tho, i really liked the story, the gameplay.. well.. enjoyable at times xd, also just found that healing mist is totally broken in my game and it only heals 1 unit instead of everyone, it worked in game 1...I was hopeful quite a few years ago as some people on Seiha Project page had solved one of the major problems of translating the new game. I haven't seen how bad the translation was. I think, they should gone about it in another way. Rather than being so rough with them, they should have encouraged them to continue, but still be honest with them. Letting them know it's not up to Seiha standards, but that they are glad it's being worked upon by someone. They should have used their network to find people, who would be willing to proofread the text, helping them with the translation. Releasing it maybe not as a Seiha Project, but as the newbies own thing. They could then credit the proofreaders themselves and the Seiha forum for helping, not the Seiha Project "proper" and everything would be find and dandy.
