And there in runs the problem with a dev wanting to write both paths when they clearly only planned out one of the paths and the other is just an afterthought that is trying desperately to fit into the opposing narrative to justify it's existence to keep that particular audience interested.
I don't know the solution to the narrative problem without coming up with another removed plot for the wife. It's why most time it's just better for a Developer to focus on one style of gameplay. Especially when the 2 paths are so directly opposed in content. It's just barely above wasted development time at this point. Tho the last updates have just been model swaps for the husband.
