Ah, the classic i-hate-f95-for-leaking-my-game-so-ill-add-a-drm-system-to-piss-off-everyone-even-though-f95-is-the-reason-my-game-reached-the-fanbase-it-has-in-the-first-place move.

You love to see devs shooting themselves in the foot while chasing every dollar they can get their hands on.

No wonder Valve keeps winning… they just let all the fools shoot.

Over the years I've met a lot of deffs, but t4bbo was at least always honest and every now and then he stopped the payments, so how many do you know who have done that?

It has nothing to do with history (even then, T4bbo isn’t the only dev like that), but thinking your game is so special that it deserves to have DRM.

Probably uses the same slippery-slope excuse “for his supporters”, similar to “for the children”.

Good to know , like i said, discover the game recently and really hope dev continue to update it, and i will surely not hesitate to throw a few bucks in it down the line, all good work should be compensate at some point when ofc you can.

Digital Rights Management.

It's a sort of a verification system used to check if the license to use/consume a given digital product is valid and/or genuine.

If you ever heard of Denuvo Anti-Tamper, that is a popular DRM system used by mainstream games to prevent piracy upon release.

Needless to say, it often causes performance issues (not applicable to mere AVNs due to their complexity), but also general inconvenience on the part of both paying customers and pirates - adding additional steps before you can actually play the product you "purchased".

Yeah, how dare the Dev want to make money on his work! Can't blame him in the least. He is correct. I used to subscribe to him but stopped because it was always leaked fast on here. I'm sure many did the same. At least this way some will simply subscribe to get the release and then unsubscribe. What I dislike are those Devs that put a time frame on when you can download the game once you subscribe. Your theory rings hollow as well. I've read many a poster claim F95 is the reason games became popular. True, to a degree. It certainly generates interest, but the Dev cannot then expect no money for his/her efforts. If games are pirated onto the site within a day or two of release, then what incentive do the Dev's have? None. Do you go to work, try to do a good job in the hope of a promotion, but don't get paid?

Our first DRM tests actually improved game performance, so no need to worry about that.

It won’t be Denuvo, but it’s getting close — you might have to ask Empress for a "hand". If interested, which I doubt, I’m sure she’d "deal with it in seconds", but when it comes to actually cracking the game, she’d probably prefer to take her time… if you know what I mean.

And threatening to blacklist a game on a piracy forum is a real oxymoron. I don’t mind moving all that traffic and google searches to Steam anyway. But I will miss you guys!
Well, if you screw up with the game on Steam, come on over, we'll be waiting for you, and 40% of the players from the court will buy the game on Steam, and the average sales of this game will be, I'll tell your fortune, the cards told me so.

By that logic, none of the mainstream games would ever make a profit because all games leak eventually (thanks to pirates).

Guess what? There exist people (like me) that subscribe & financially support devs that make excellent products, no matter how fast the end product is available for free. It's called being a decent human being.

Piracy is unavoidable, and trying to fight it (especially in the AVN industry) is futile effort.

You will have to share the traffic with a very "popular book and reality TV show".

And EMPRESS, don't make us laugh. EMPRESS was a crazy lunatic bitch and hasn't been seen in years, she probably started her own cult and harem by now with her lunatic fans, and she only fucked with Denuvo. Even Denuvo can be easily bypassed now without her, basically there isn't a game out there you can't play or get free. And to Steam, I guess you aren't caught up on the news with Steam.

And threating? It's not a threat, look at Inceton Games, seen them pop up on F95 lately? They added DRM, failed miserably, got blacklisted, and removed the DRM and now they still don't get promoted on F95. They lost close to 1K Patreon's due to this decision or roughly 23% of paying members. They didn't put this DRM on Steam either...

That was over a month ago at this point, there have been other developments since then. Getting rid of early access for adult games, rejecting any games that had applied for it. Banning adult game update that add new content, it has to be done another way, rejecting a lot more games now, there are more issues with Steam going now as well.
