i work alone, only make 11 bucks a month, and still find time for weekly update posts for both free and the few paid members. dev communication is the biggest tool. and one of the most important.

Fuck yeah. I don't play NTR routes much, (this one is crap imo) and never look for gay material either, but I might even buy the game just to see Tony take it up the shitter, lol..

I have tried both and prefer the former much more. Very satisfying putting her in her place, and how much she really starts to enjoy it. Even going so far now as wanting to directly compete with her mother for the MC.
I get you, Tony is getting all the good stuff, so you would like the MC to do it?!

It can also be a double edged sword. When I was doing my game, I tried keeping in contact here....while for the most part mostly everyone was cool, you had some that just took things too far and ultimately ruined the experience of creating a game for me and my partner. I think a lot of the devs don't check in here because they've seen projects get hijacked. It's just one of those things you have to be careful of.

checking in and giving updates isnt the same as letting your followers make decisions and the direction for your game. also havent had my game added on here yet. just the patreon and GSL. nothing on mine will ever get hijacked. small feedback is important but major feedback, nope. rule 1 is always dont let to many cooks in the kitchen.

No one ever intends on having their game hijacked...but it happens and this isn't necessarily the best site to check in on and give updates. My game wasn't hijacked, but trust me, there was a lot of needless drama cause by people on here, lol. So like I said, it's a double edged sword...it just depends on how you approach it.

i wasnt saying they have to check in here, but they should somewhere. if your game gets hijacked just for sharing release progress thats 100% a dev created problem. ignore drama and make the game you intended.im on demo phase and my next release is like a month off and ill open a page here and apologetically make my game while holding a middle finger up to the haters. problem is too many devs give their community game direction input. thats why so many NTR games exist. people put up polls and the ntr squad comes along. seen it, heard it, observed aftermath. i mean i have been on the internet for 30 years, nobody gonna say shit i aint seen before haha

Same...I've been on it since it began and I've seen a lot of shit as well. I get your stand against polls, problem is a lot of devs start making a lot of money and wind up chasing that instead of their story. Take the first Babysitter game for instance...at one point I know the game was making over 10k a month. I think sometimes it was close to 14k...this is going back quite a few years before he took his break from the game...he may have froze it so people didn't get charged, but the money he was making was shot...I'm not saying T4boo is chasing the money, but I get why one might do it especially with a large sum of money like that a month. If you're making over 10k and some people don't like a certain decision and you see that money dip...do you stay true to your story or do you cave and get that money back? It might be an easy choice right now because maybe you're not making that much, but what if you were making that amount each month? That's an extreme case...but like I said, I understand and actually agree with your opinion about polls....but I also understand the need/want for them when large sums of money are possibly at stake. And then that's the chain reaction because once you give on that and people see and know that, they start demanding more.
