Hello, it's me again. First of all, I want to clarify. I'm not the developer of this game. I don't know the developer, at least not very well. However, I am a game translator. I translate most games made with Renpy, Unity, and Unreal Engine into my own language ("Turkish"). I can explain why I'm so knowledgeable about this game. As you know, when important games are about to be released on Steam, certain people are sent demos or prologues for testing purposes and asked to test them. The same goes for us. We're in contact with some developers. Before we offer certain games for a fee on our Patreon accounts, they send them to us. We test the games and share our thoughts. This game was on our list of games we were testing at the time. So, I wanted to let you know that it's normal and understandable that we know more about this game and its developer than you do. Yes. He hasn't posted anything there since Nov 2024 when he announced his other game was on indefinite hold. It was called "Husbands doesn't know" or something like that. In my opinion that game had promise, but for whatever reason the developer dropped it to focus this game. That worked out well.

some suck some don't. if a game is done right then even a slow burn one is good, but if one sucks then slow burn and a bad story make it worse.

This may be a stupid question but does anyone know how to extract the assets used to make this game? I see the jpg and webm files but I have not figured out if the character and background models exist within the renpy files for someone to create a fan mod/continuation of this game.

No, it absolutely is not! If those assets were included, the game's size would (no joke) be literally ten to fifteen times bigger. So even for this game, which is nowhere near complete and still has a pretty overall chonky size for the time being, it would require easily thirty freaking gigabytes of space on your drive!
So it really is not "a shame" that those assets aren't included.

Reguarding the changes the devolper plans on making: I'm hoping for a patch to be released on other platformsso that players can enjoy the game as intended. Patch being obtained here or via a discord server or something.
