before downloading, I gotta ask:
do you get to choose whether or not you're top or bottom? because if not, then I'm not even gonna waste my time downloading it -.-

You only get to choose on Taiga's route (and even there, it's not an obvious choice - it puts you on a 'top route' or 'bottom route' depending on earlier dialogue options). For the others, there's no choice involved - you're a top in Hunter's route, a bottom in Natsumi's route (I think), and switch between the two in Hiro's and Yoichi's routes.
