All of those hard pauses are pretty annoying you can put a pause(#) that will progress them automatically in case you didn't know. It would probably remove 25% or more of those needless extra clicks. Also is there a reason nearly every sentence ends with an exclamation mark. It's like everyone is super exited about every little thing.

Hey, thank you for your comment. The hard pauses are intended, I'm sorry if you feel like they are annoying but that's how I wanted to construct my game. Also, there's no reason for a lot of exclamation marks, just spelling errors from my part which I will fix in the next update. :)

I appreciated the response but can you explain how the hard pauses contribute to anything? To me me it seems very unnecessary. There is already a vast amount of clicking in any VN really, how does making them hard like that add to the story? Like I said, it feels very "look how awesome it looks" to me. Maybe I'm missing something.

Edit: I missed the part about the exclamation points. I am very, very glad that they may be toned down. It's your game but it seems like there may be a language barrier(?) Punctuation can be a bitch, or maybe you are excitable in general, I have nothing to base it off of.

So, about the hard pauses, it goes back to when I used to play AVNs. There were a handful of scenes which didn't necessarily contain a lot of dialogue but they had some renders which I wanted to look at. The problem with ren'py is that if you don't add a hard pause and you let the scene progress automatically, when you rollback you will miss that scene which progressed automatically. College Kings for example had a couple of scenes like that where if they didn't contain dialogue, the renders would progress automatically and when I rolled back I couldn't look at that specific picture that I wanted to see. I don't know if you can understand my point but it's something that gives players more freedom to see everything. Also, there may be some scenes which aren't that interesting for the average person to look at, but a player like myself would appreciate that hard pause which would give me the time I need to process a picture if I want to.

Now, with that out of the way, if you're talking about a black screen which has a hard pause, that is not intended. With black screens I tend to make them progress automatically because there is no need for someone to look at a black screen. I can't remember if there were any cases like this but if there are I'm sorry and I will provide a fix for the next update.

That makes sense, I have come across that quite a few times and it is difficult to try and find or get a screenshot of that one in the middle you want. Personally, I'm ok with it, my hands are only used for clicking or typing while reading AVNs, so extra clicks don't bother me.

Hey everyone! The 2nd episode just dropped here as well. You can download it now from the drive link I've provided. Can't wait to hear your feedback about it. :D
Crikey, I wasn't expecting that! Will try to fit it in over the next week or two. Thanks!

On that note, the thread is quiet, which is why I wasn't expecting it. Do you object to the (free) status updates being shared here? I see there are some public posts on Patreon that could be shared to help increase visibility and hopefully push some more people to the Patreon in return.

I've been waiting for some feedback from the people that have played it or some problems with it, but it's been very quiet so far. My discord server is the same and I don't really understand why. I could try to publish public patreon posts here as well.

Generally speaking, any visibility is good, and having this thread pop up in people's watchlists or on the front page as people post to it is always a good thing for that. I saw this post in another thread at around the same time, and it's a good example, just sharing the regular progress updates.
