That's good to know. I was thinking of doing this when I replayed.

I still had some problems with sometimes characters responses feeling stiff or weird jumps, from what I remember, the last time I played, so I may make some notes on some possible small changes for this and other errors you may miss.

But I may wait for now, for your proofread and implementation to be done, so I don't mark the same fixes.
The first episode has its fair share of issues, some weird renders, quite a few spelling mistakes, and a lot of things that could be improved. But right now, I just don’t have the time to go back and rework it. My focus is on moving the story forward and getting new content out. That’s why the proofreading help is so valuable. Lately, I’ve been putting my energy into improving myself, getting better at rendering, refining my storytelling, and making sure each new episode is stronger than the last.

Yeah, I get that. I am not even sure when or if I would even look at this and make notes. It is usually kind of exhausting. But if I do, I do plan on helping out and marking some suggestions and feedback for possible changes at some point.

Whenever or if it ever happens, I will send it over and it's not immediate or urgent, you can get to it whenever you feel is the best time for you, even if it takes a long time.

I’ll most likely revisit it and make some improvements when the Steam release gets closer. I want the game to feel as polished and complete as possible by the time it’s out there.

I hope new content is the priority.

So many games get lost and never recover when they are constantly reworked.
Losing momentum due to reworking is not worth it.
Constant new updates increase exposure and help a game not get lost in the shuffle.

Nothing will ever be perfect, so moving forward is best.
The most successful games are the ones that constantly move forward.
Retouching and reworking is better served once a game is complete.

Some recent similarly themed games are almost dying due to constant reworks, with no new content, for over a year or more because of reworks.

Only noticeable typos I've seen were "tho," which should be "though."
Only obvious graphical error I've seen is clipping in an animation.
Not a big deal or gamebreaker. Totally fine if fixed after the game is complete.

Really, this game is fine.
Very good for a first project and good in itself.
One of the better current Visual Novels and has lots of promise, just needs to grow with more content.

Exactly, the priority is to keep the game moving forward. I know nothing will ever be truly perfect, and chasing perfection would just slow everything down. That’s why I focus on progress rather than obsessing over every little detail. I’ve also set a goal to release updates as often as possible, aiming for at least two per year.

Depends on how quick Tony can move with it. If he finishes it in the next week, most probably yeah. No pressure for him though, proofreading is not planned in this patch update.
I'm really hoping you don't find very many issues in Episode 2. :cautious: :ROFLMAO:

(I'm not sure I want to know how many I missed during testing). :(

If there is any bad obvious ones, that's on me. Not MCVN.

The main LIs are: Cleo, Sadie, Tracy, Francesca, Evelyn, Tiffany and Scarlett.

On the introvert path alone, it's Francesca and Cleo that are available.

Regardless of your affinity path, you can pursue Sadie and Tiffany. Just keep in mind that you're gonna miss a couple of scenes with them if you're an introvert early on.

On the extrovert path alone, it's Tracy, Scarlett and Evelyn that are available.
Choices... choices... Cleo's the hottest, but I prefer extroverted route. Really enjoy meaningful choices like this that make me pause and think for a bit. It makes me feel so much more immersed in characters and story

I finished ch. 1 and I liked it but... I feel like I'm lost at the start of ch.2 - is it supposed to be a time skip or am I missing something? Because I feel like I missed a lot, the episode starts with a free roam thats missing from the guide, and then I see a new girl (Amber) who apparently has something to do with MC suddenly playing guitar ad being in a band or something (I dont think he was in ch.1). Is it supposed to be like that or is there something wrong with my game (because I also get a bunch of errors - eg. after MC practices with the guitar theres a error that I have to ignore).

That sounds like a big issue, the start of Episode 2 should be with a fight, and then back at your dorm where you'll meet Nate and talk to him. Can you tell me more about the errors you got?

Oh, that explains a lot then. So, after ch. 1 theres the recap and then the first thing after it MC opens some door and sees a couple having sex

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

And then theres the free roam part...
Theres no errors after the ch. 1 recap part, but I had one when ending the last free roam of ch.1:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Ignoring it throws me out to Main menu. I've rerun a previous save and it worked somehow.

The error Im getting on the guitar practice:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Also, all of that might be my fault - I'm using the multi mod (not changing any values, just want to see all the content...).
I'll try to quickly rerun ch.1 without the mod and see if it works.

The multi-mod shouldn't break the game in any way. Have you played the game before or is this your first time?

I'm going to provide here a couple of fixes which should repair the game.

1. Try and install the latest patch update and try to play the game FROM before you enter the recap in the first episode, when it says "Save your game now". That's where you should reload from. If this doesn't fix it, go to the second point.

2. IF the patch update didn't work, go ahead and delete the game in its entirety and redownload it, there might have been some corrupted files or something might have failed while downloading it. After re-downloading, install the patch update, then do the first point. If it still doesn't repair the game, go to the third point.

3. IF none of the above worked, go ahead and delete all of the game's persistent files and data. To do that, enter the game, go inside the gallery and click on the reset button, then click yes. This will reset the gallery and also all of the persistent variables. After that, go to load, then click on delete all saves. This will delete every save you have available, so this is as a last resort in case nothing else worked. After that, you can skip through the game until you get to the end of Episode 1 and see if the issue still persists.

I did all 3 and it didn't help. But I deleted all the renpy files in the appdata and it works. Whats weird is that aside from ch.2 not working properly it turns out that I was also missing the 'quest' note thing in the top left corner, and the multimod menu is now a phone in the top right, also some tutorial messeges were missing before.
I *think* it's my first playthrough - I might just not remember playing the game before, but it seems like I was playing soe older version before and deleting the appdata and redownloading everything made it work properly.
Sorry for the confusion, it turns out it was something on my end.
Thanks for help. And for the game :)
