Year in Review/Progress Report (#16)
Happy New Year to everyone. Time for another report but first to review last year.
It should come as no surprise that last year left much to be desired in terms of news regarding the industry and the release of Campus Lyfe Chapter 2. I'm not going to lie it was a bit of a let down. While I released 4 full comics. The progress on Campus Lyfe was not what I wanted it to be. I have already explained why in previous progress updates but long story short it was due to financial insecurity, over-ambition and re-writing of parts of the story due to events in the Adult Entertainment space. The last part means some kinks/themes I initially had planned are officially off the table.
Realistically, I can only really control 1 out of those 3, that's why going forward (Post release of Chapter 2) updates of subsequent chapters will be broken up into sections consisting of parts slightly smaller than the length of Ophelia's Date Night. The comics will also be limited to around the same number I released last year in order to focus more on the VN and have a suitable release schedule. Until I can do this full time, this is all I can manage for now.
The renders for the End of Year bundle are still cooking but they'll be ready around Tuesday. There are only a handful left. Speaking of renders, the Campus Lyfe renders are coming along nicely and I made enough progress with them over the holidays to be able to actually start working on animations now. Believe it or not, Animations are actually easier to get through than slogging through bulk renders and I can chew through those easily. I'm not giving any estimates so I don't disappoint anyone.
I was going to look into boosting my PC but with AI messing with hardware prices and me still being financially insecure, I've had to put those plans on ice for now.
Anyway, this year for sure will not have a drought of content the way last year did so look forward to Sumatra 3D content to enjoy. I have attached some more preview renders for you guys but I will also make a separate announcement for the next two comics for the first half of this year. The covers are NSFW so I can't post them publicly so you can only see them on Discord or if you're a paid member on Patreon or SubscribeStar.
