I really like this game a lot. The gameplay loop is compelling. I want to know what happened exactly to the killed brother, what's up with all those characters who have different motivations, I want to solve the big mysteries and am curious how the arrival of the inquisitor shakes things up.

The romances are cute so far, and the art is hot. The few sex scenes that are in the game up to this point are nice. Is it the hottest art ever? No, but it still looks good to me.

The minigames are fun, which is an area so many other games botch. Except the linguistics minigame, that's trash. Or I'm trash for being bad at it.

The various routes are interesting, and it's clear that you need several playthroughs to get a full picture. The intrigue works for me. The storytelling is quite engaging.

So in short, the game is really good, I hope the dev keeps at it, and kind souls keep sharing the game on here.

Anyone have the solution to the Alchemy puzzle?
I find it 0 fun and just end up quitting in frustration.

Each time it is different? I mean someone could make an app that lets you solve it but it's just addition and subtraction.

Are there going to be any hot scenes with the Prior and the MC or just the other young monks?
I also really wondered if I should share any info with the Prior or not -- I didn't.

Do you mean the Cantor (black dude) ? Because there already is MC/Prior content.

Thanks, I haven't seen it yet, but I'm still playing Ch. 2.
Or maybe I messed up by not reporting the intruder to him?

No, that shouldn't affect anything. As far as I can remember, all you need to get the scene with the Cantor is to see him getting a bj on day 1, then tell him you saw it and tell him you didn't mind what you saw.

Thank you. I did witness that!

My strategy is to pick two symbols and use 2 of them each for the first try: so like XXYY. This seems to be a good starting point. Linguistics is my favourite mini game, alchemy is the hardest and the chanting one is the most boring to me, though it's hella easy.

It's easy.

On the left, the values are added. On the right, they are subtracted.

And all the values must be equal zero at the end.

Hi guys. I'm the developer of this game.

So listen, ngl, I was pretty demoralized and demotivated seeing this pop up here. So, I come to you with a deal of sorts.

I don't really have an issue with piracy in general, but I think there's a spectrum.

On one end, you can pirate Ubisoft or EA stuff, and basically scrape a few bucks off of the millions that will be going to their top execs in bonuses (millions they shouldn't be getting anyways because they're useless), while leaving dev salaries unharmed. I think this is by and large a victimless crime.

On the other end of the spectrum, you have solo devs like me. So let me tell you a bit about myself. Including the earnings I get from my Patreon, I make less than 50k a year living in Tokyo. A few months ago, before the game came out, I was paycheck-to-paycheck. I work a full-time, corporate, soul-sucking job for a Japanese company that I finish around 7PM every night. After that, I work on the game until 1-2 AM. Rinse and repeat. I'm desperately trying to get out of this job and focus on these creative pursuits. The dream is to make a successful game hopefully, and one day (in my wildest dreams) to be able to hire an artist to work alongside, increase the quality of the music and sound, maybe even invest in some voice acting. I work on this game every single weekend and I post about an hour of play time every single month without exception.

All that said, I want to suggest a compromise here. I will upload the game files on to this thread myself in the future. I will post the most recent update of the game one month after it is published to all my patrons. In exchange, please don't post any more game files without my permission. I think this is fair and reasonable, will hopefully still protect what there is of my Patreon income, and let you play the game at the same pace as my patrons, if a little later.

How does that sound?

And finally, if you like the game, . It's 2 dollars for the lowest tier and you get an update every month. You can unsubscribe immediately after subscribing and still leave what is in essence a tip. It takes me usually 4 months per entire chapter, so if you don't want to be subscribed longterm, you do this every 4 months from now to release (with a planned 8 chapters), you can literally own the full game for 10 dollars. Maybe I'm being delusional, but I feel like the game is worth it. And if you are able to support with more, for higher tiers, I post nerdy lore posts with extracts from different lore books in the world. I drew and posted a map of the kingdom there as well, etc. And if you're having a hard time financially as well, there are other ways you can show your support. You can . The engagement there means the game gets more popular and more people discover it. Tell your friends, post about it in your other Discords, etc. That can be worth as much as the 2 bucks sometimes.

Since 0.3.1 is posted here already (I think you mislabeled the version number, by the way), I plan on posting 0.3.2 a month after it comes out for all my patrons, so January 31st. I'm hoping this arrangement is accepted and can hold until then.

Have a blessed weekend, Brothers and Sisters and Siblings, and remember to go worship Saheila at least a little bit before it's done.

Something I forgot about the alchemy puzzle.

You don't need to fill in all the blocks.

But you should position them in the lower blocks.

Here is an example:

that's my strategy too. It's basically a simplified Wordle (or a short version of the old Mastermind game). I have more or less the same ranking: I like linguistics the most and chanting the least. Alchemy needs a bit of trial-and-error but it's not that bad; archanometry is a bit boring and (for now) rather easy, but it's more inventive than chanting. I like the insert-the-right-word game too.

I really don't mind the minigames, they provide a nice break from just the reading and the story without being overwhelming. And they're all relatively easy to solve with a little bit of brain.

Sorry to hear you are demoralised. I love the game and I am supporting on Patreon now too. I think this place is just a great place to advertise the game and draw in many more people who will play the game than otherwise and good place to engage with fans of the game. But totally understand your reservations - though, I might be wrong but hasn't the free version that you posted on Itch.io been the only thing uploaded here as of yet? Regardless, very much looking forward to seeing how this one develops and I am happy to support it.

The scene with the Prior was smoking hot! I know he isn't on the relationship graph, but I hope there are more.
I'm not sure if I see a bug? I initially chose to

, but then after hearing about the canticles I changed and mind and did not. Later, after returning to my cell it says, "

, but kindness has a price." It sounds like it thinks I did? I'm going to backtrack and try again.
Edit: Yep, tried again. This time chose not to tell at both prompts, and I got different text ("would have been stupid and risky") in my cell. It seems to take the answer from the first prompt as your answer, even if you change your answer at the 2nd chance.

Hello Developer! I first off want to say that this game is really fun and I appreciate the compromise. Before it was on here I saw this game on Itch when someone on the request thread recommended it. I had a question about a specific scene

apart from that, I've got nothing but praises. I did my associates in art history and religious studies and I'm a bit of a history nerd so this setting is right up my alley
