The announcement was on April fools and was split between two pictures.

First one was Seija pointing at April Fools saying (from the translation I read) "Amanojaku imprisonment is getting a remake! Perverts everywhere rejoice!" with a smug smirk.

Second picture was Seija having a horrified realization "...wha...If an amanojaku says it on that day, it becomes true...?"

Kinda a perfect way to announce it really, with Seija's trolling/crap coming right back to haunt her.

Presumably they're rebuilding it from the ground up because something fundamentally wasn't working, requiring a restart from scratch. Like with Forest of the Blue Skin that ran into (IIRC) memory problems with it's engine and tried to fix that by splitting the game into two parts before going "Fuck it" and moving onto a different engine.

BTW: Since it is still being worked on, isn't the abandoned tag inaccurate?

I think until this thread is updated with a proper playable copy, it's going to remain abandoned

Arguably, one could say Seija flip turned upside down the protagonist's life. :v

But no really tho: I hope her powers get weaved into conversations or even the sex scenes. Even a cheeky wink to them would be nice.

Considering the outcome flips HER life from loner Public Enemy 1 to a happy girlfriend manageable annoyance/asset to Gensokyo to those in power...
