I can handle a little different, but I have to retain my humanity.Lol, I totally get you, and I LOVE Warhammer 40k (The Horus Heresy), but every now and then I do enjoy a little something different. So for me, I'm ok with playing this game for a change of pace and it's a really good game too.
For instance I've always remained pure human in Fenoxo's games of CoC and TiTs, I can handle treating humans and xenos as equals and allies (!!HERESY!!) but I can't handle xeno's being superior, especially philosophically superior.
For example in Avatar I don't mind the Na'vi being bigger, stronger, faster (harder ) but I can't accept the idea that their adherence to nature and naturalism is better then humanities "obsession" with technology and progress, as a technophile I love tech and would happily use cybernetic augments IRL.
I know that to some people that would mean giving up my humanity but my view is closer to the Majors from Hellsing Ultimate.
"even if I was reduced to a brain in a jar, synapses firing in a sea of pure thought I would still be human." -Major
So long as the brain remains unaltered then I would still be me, but once you alter the brain with TF's or Augments your no longer completely human.
