I wouldnt mind if it was SNES Castlevania but NES is pain-peko for me especially the forward jump which I hate.

Chapter 6 is just unbearably stuffy... you go up and up and either a damned kite or a red skull hits you and you fall to the level below, where all the monsters are alive again and you have to jump on these small platforms again, I still haven't mastered this chapter, the best weapon is a throwing knife to destroy the winged ones from afar... switch these bulbs again... oh
