The keys were there before the update, yes. It was said to be used to unlock a gallery, I think. Since it's still under development, we won't know for sure

No the free mode is in the most recent version. The keys are what unlocks the free mode.
theres a 3rd maid animation in the gallery does anyone know where to trigger it/find it as i cant find it in the stage

It depends. Did you met with the greeting maid? Did you get hit by the vacuuming maid? Did you crawl under the bed?
never tried under the bed(tbh didnt think that was possible but explains the photo)
