well maybe try running it with admin privelages. if that doesn't work perhaps compatibility. it works fine on windows 10 (for me anyway)

Hello everyone,

How did you guys manage to get this game to work? I have java and I am on the latest windows update, but when I click on the game nothing happens. it does not even fail to launch it does not even do the attempt.

I even deactivated my anti-virus program but still nothing is happening. Is there any fix for this because I would really like to try this game out.

To end some misteries...
I was part of the server back in the day, though it appears to be deleted or gone. Castle Dev himself seemingly vanished from it part way through due to him being shy... I remember when I was in the server I had went out of my way to actually contact him again. To which he eventually did answer after a year where I had done an interview of sorts.
If I recall correctly. he was working on a different game all together and wanted it to be finished or mostly worked on before he released it though i'm unsure what happened to him since then. (he either changed names, unfriended my account, or deleted his account)
I would need to get back onto the server again to check. but the only invite has expired (it was on the image board he created for the game)
