I had the same problem. What caused it is an error when giving Estia her room. I had to give Estia her room without the bugfix and it worked fine.

Error, the scene is all black due: "Couldn't finde 'scene/estia/box_truth (1).webp'.
Similar error in the seconde step of the Colapse quest: "Couldn't find 'scene/mc/mind_invasion (1).webp'."

Good start for the new build, now wait for a few months to fix this...
Anyone have the files game needs?

BEWARE this game broadcasts to everyone on discord that you are playing it... without opting in
there is a option to turn it off but when i click it then it seems bugged
so for now i need to remember to turn off discord every time i play this game

You can disable this feature from within discord itself

I uninstalled discord and only use it inside browsers now specifically to avoid this "feature" and a few other "features"

When you open the game try to update through the launcher when it asks you, see if that fixes it. Also it will take a long ass time to update. The launcher is ran by a 3 legged hamster that's easily distracted.

When I look at the top it says a certain file as missing. Like the story event in this update, each missing file in the scene goes up to like the 40s or whatever in count...so I'm not sure if it's cause I downloaded the compressed version? But I'm not getting an update option on launch
