Thanks, yeah that sex scene I just found uncomfortable, I'm not a fan of manipulation either by males or females.IMHO the writing improves substantially starting in Chapter 2. The MC is no longer forced to avoid the issues with Jaye, so the game becomes much less about forced drama and more about how you choose to handle the current situation. That made the MC a lot more palatable so I was able to it settle in and enjoy the good character work and continued (if slow) development of the main plot. There's still an unskippable sex scene that I very much wanted to skip in Chapter 2 (though at least it was a flashback), but otherwise the game has corrected most of my major concerns from the early game.
I'm hoping the trend continues!
I'm no expert, but my take is that Jaye and Tara are closer to platonic friends at heart and the MC is just cluelessly projecting his preconceptions onto their relationship. As usual.
