Man, if you really see her skin color as orange on your monitor, you're in dire need of a color calibrator, because its colors are FUBAR

Just for you I sampled that color (I used GIMP's color picker and sampled a 5x5 pixel area on her tummy) and found a name for its code, which apparently happens to be a shade of brown called Smoke Tree. On the right is a sample of actual orange from the same page. Those are internationally standardized (W3C) color codes and names.

In case you can't make a difference between those two colors, you might need to test your eyes for partial color blindness, sorry.

It is true though, that red hair and brown skin don't go together genetically. Redheads usually have very light skin and don't tan well at all, they just burn their skin without getting much darker afterwards.

Guess you should calibrate your monitor.

1. Color codes don't depend on the monitor accuracy. Only the perception of colors does.
2. My monitor is actually calibrated to be able to work on photos. Not that it matters in this case, since we are talking about codes now.

Maybe the first source I found was slightly wrong about the name of the shade that is somewhere between brown and orange, so what? Orange is still orange.

in the same Encycolorpedia, coded as #bb5f34 is almost indistinguishable from #bd5e31 unless you put them side by side.

I don't even know if Jaye has more to forgive as long as she would not bring rapey to the boat on the whole, though the whole of her behavior after MC returned does not score her bonus points to put it mildly. MC does have the very annoying habit to make decisions that involve them both without talking to her about them first. Which has become even more complicated since though Jaye still thinks she has that right to be asked first, from MC's perspective she lost that right quite a while ago when their relation became soured.

Just Jaye does need to wake up and finally realize that her behavior is as much a part of the problem as MC is and that if she continues it, she will completely lose him for a lot longer as 5 years, which is fine if that is her intention. I do not see MC making grand gestures of trying to reconnect with her from his side, unless Jaye gives him reason to. My take on MC is that he basically already gave up on that relation with regret in his heart. So he will not act to save or improve it from his side as things stand. He might be open to try though if something changes and he thinks it might be viable, since he would prefer it differently.
