All of the chapters were planned before the prologue was even released. It ended exactly how it was supposed to end.

No, I don't see it that way. MC states he would talk to Mallory after Jaye gave him her POV about it and her feelings towards Mallory. Mallory couldn't know this at the moment she brokes with MC. To me it looks like Jaye's view matters the most. Mallory don't want an open relationship, but a polyamorous relationship isn't open. It's closed. Especially with the the conditions Jaye sets up for it. Looks like this is the game changer for Mallory. We'll see in the next update. The game isn't complete now. The epilogue will show the outcome.

had that issue with the steam update. had to verify files and it told me 122 files mismatched. so, my advice, delete everything but the saves folder and copy over the game files. also, make sure to put in the save file fix from Sancho if you had the mod previously. i think it's not just the game folder that had changed files inside it but the lib and renpy folders as well. when in doubt, go clean slate.

Nope, they decided to add another chapter near the end when they realized they wouldn't be able to put all the content they wanted into the original 10 chapters (Prologue + Chapters 1-9).

I read the last few pages of the thread, and idk if you guys are trolling or you are actually serious, is a jaye/mall throuple actually possible on a jaye romance path??!!

This update only works for the Jaye+MC game story. This main story wraps up. Everything else is just ignored.
If they do not want to wrap their hung story threads, there is just wishful thinking.
Everything else is just a teaser for the epilogue, which might be a second update in the coming years if devs feel like it.

why are you talking like its all speculations? They are working on another epilogue chapter which is planned to be released by this year's end. IDK if you are confused or misinformed?

That's completely fake news. SFS stated the epilogue will come around the end of the year, so maybe December, maybe January. Nothing "if devs feel like it".

To be clear, there are at least three updates left: The first will be a mid-cycle update that includes consolidation of the two divergent codebases and a massive cleanup of the earlier chapters and the removal unused images, sounds, etc.
The second will be the epilogue which looks ahead at how your ending pans out. Effectively the final chapter.
The last will be our revamp of the first 2.5 chapters to bring things up to our state of the art. Call it the "remaster."
What could they possibly need to ret con or effectively delete from the story, if they actually wanted to wrap up the story threads that we would save in our end of chapter 9 save?
If they go into all the other chapters to cut and change and move stuff around ... it clearly sounds as a de facto rework:
are we sure they will ever come out of such a huge endeavor by the end of this year?

The throuple path(maybe) is really like a tease. Find it hard to difficult to achieve it. Yeah and in addition to this it feels like a bullshit decision as you never actually get the option to commit prior to this. It would've 100% made sense to have that scene where she rejects you in the morning if she asked you the day before "Would you like to keep this relationship going like this or will you commit?". And if your answer isn't anything along the lines of "No I want to commit to you" or "I think we need to talk about this with all 3 of us, as we're conveniently going to see her right now."
Now you're robbed of a choice as a player. So it feels quadruple-ly bad.
