The ending is lacking compared to Leap of Faith, which was made by the same folks from what I can tell. The completed tag does feel off but it's not the only game that got updated after being completed, Monster College did the same thing. It was released with a lazy ending, got flaked, and ended up adding content post "completion". Unlike aaa studios that can ignore the fanbase if you make a living off Pantheon, pissing off all of your customers is a bad idea.

The game is great, just needs a better closure IMO. I'm sure there is going to be another one in the same universe considering that the characters from the two made so far criss cross.

The actual epilogue of the Leap of Faith is still unresolved...

The reason the ending feels like there is no closure is because it isn't a ending. There is still a Epilogue coming out soon where every path will get it's proper closure. Some F95 mod just wrongly tagged this as 'Completed' and refuses to change it for some reason.

Okay, I've tried everything. I even installed the walkthrough mod. Is there a way to end up with both Mallory and Jaye? And/or Amanda? She's adorable and kind of perfect.

There is, but it's not the usual way.

You need to have relationships with both Mallory and Jaye but later you break things with Mallory and choose Jaye. Don't be vague about it. Firmly choose Jaye but have high Affection with Mallory. If you do, in the last lewd scene with Jaye, she will propose that you enter a polyamorous relationship.

There isn't a path where Amanda is involved with Jaye, no. But you can have Mallory/Amanda in the same path.

I can understand why you might think that LOF and CS are in the same universe, but this is probably a result of the crossover of the characters. This was an agreement between two different development teams who admired each other's games and wanted to do something fun. Leap of Faith's universe is continuing in another game called U4IA (it's great by the way) and Firebreak is the next game upcoming from this team. In addition, Chasing sunsets is lousy with other more subtle cameos of other games. My favorite is the inclusion of Little Abby Snack Cakes, tying it to Single Again. The girls also appeared in Single Again to help Francis buy butt plugs for his daughters, but it is debatable if that is indeed canon.

The games felt pretty similar, and some of the characters showed up in both. I didn't check to see who made them, it's good to know that both games got some sort of a continuation, though. Both games are good, so I'll make sure to check their next titles.

Can't wait for that epilogue for chasing sunsets, though, the ending felt half-baked at best.

You should be able to open the game files and find the audio files; it might be named the name of the sound/sound effect. Could also try one of those music naming services where you play it and it identifies it.
