how is the fact that only a few could block Jaye's phone a specific accusation against MC?
who of all people is the one who by leaving had no opportunity to do so after the graduation party fight? and before that why would he have done it?
Doesn't seem to me like MC reacts to that message like someone with a tail.
At this point Tara herself is much more suspicious, and that sentence could be a semi confession.
Tara points out only a few people could have added the block, then adds that the MC ran away as soon as she revealed the block and then specifically asks if he sees what she is implying. The accusation is clear: the MC did not want to talk to Jaye. At the minimum, he didn't want to clear the air and get to the bottom of who DID install the block if it wasn't him.
And the MC's only response is to ask if that's why she texted him. No denial, no counter proposal, not even an explanation for why he skedaddled this time. He just wants to know if Tara is going to keep talking about this.
I agree Tara remains a suspect, but her motivations are very tenuous. There were much easier ways to sabotage the relationship between Jaye and the MC than setting up a 1-way phone block 5 years ago then revealing it when Jaye was primed to believe the MC was lying about calling her. And if she is behind it, accusing him in private of something she knows he didn't do serves no purpose.
I'll reevaluate if the MC gives me some reason to dispute Tara's interpretation of events, but for now his (non) reaction makes it the most plausible explanation out there.
