What part of the sex is disappointing?
Was it the renders, animations, story arc, no sex with certain side characters, or just everything?
If I was a chef Tanaka fan and no one else did it for me - then yes, I would be disappointed right now.
I'm a fan of both Jaye and Mallory, the two main LI's.
For me:
The Mallory sex scenes are very well done, including the story that leads to those sex scenes.
I love the idea of Amanda pushing Mallory's boundaries and that is how she ends up with the MC after the great bar scene.
The Jaye sex is next level though!!
The buildup, the choices to bet it all on Red, the MC's journals letting her know she was never far from his thoughts even if they did not see each other for 5 years, all led to Jaye and the MC - CH 6.
Jaye's determination to give the MC a night of Everything he, and they, could have ever wanted (sexually) was such a great culmination of this part of their story.
We don't know where this will lead and the 3 choices the MC has the next morning could lead to some very different endings but the love making with Jaye was So very good and satisfying.

He does have a point tho, most of the sex scenes are on the boring side with a few exceptions(that Jaye scene was great)
It's easy to say the sex scenes are boring.
What makes them boring?
Are there too few women to have sex with?
Is it the lack of animations early in the story?
Are there too few renders for certain sex scenes (like the early scenes) - which ones would you have liked to see improved?
A blanket statement like the ones you both made offers nothing specific to address.
I like Chasing Sunsets because it is an adult story, with adult relationships, where the story/worldbuilding comes first and physical intimacy flows from that.
I can go to Pornhub for a thin veneer of story as a wrapper for almost immediate sex.
Chasing Sunsets offers me the chance to invest in characters who I grow to care about.
They are imperfect and they make mistakes, but when the sex happens, it has meaning, not as just sex but within the confines of the story - it helps to expand the story.
Sex with Rikki and Linda was nice, but it did not have the 'weight' of meaning that love making with Jaye had.
Animations were not something that was part of the early experience with CS (Chasing Sunsets).
I understand that the creators of CS are getting better in terms of their sex scenes and animations (my opinion).
I know that they are still working on adding in cinematic improvements to the AVN as a whole - so paying supporters get a better experience.
If you are on Patreon, why not provide some specifics there?
I support on SS and I have not seen anything like the feedback about boring sex and specific ideas to spice things up.

Yeah, that's why I liked the game so much, if you go a few pages back to my comment you will see why.
And why I found a portion of them boring? It might be a matter of personal taste and something to do with the writing of them.
The Devs know their stuff with writing a good story but when it comes to the sex stuff I didn't like it too much.

I like them enough that I bought them on Steam and gifted CS to several friends who were unfamiliar with the genre. The sense of humor throughout the AVN is what has proven to be a big part of why they like CS, that and the well-written story with sci fi undertones.
I still support on SS - I am happy to go above and beyond for my favorite creators and Stone Fox Studios is a top 3 for me.

A great story
It has some of the best humor I've seen in an AVN, and I Love that it makes me laugh.
It has characters, like Jaye, the MC and Mallory, who have all gone through, and are still on, significant journeys, both physical and emotional and I can relate to the characters, and the toil involved in their journeys.
The sex scenes are, for me, becoming better and better, but not just because I can tell that Stone Fox Studios continues to improve their craft - better renders and animations - but also because the lovemaking with Jaye and Mallory means something. It is an extension of the time taken to build relationships that matter.
I enjoy the way they add to the storytelling using changes in facial expressions. I find it adds to the story!
If someone is here for the sex first and the story/humor are a distant second, then this would not be the AVN to invest time in.
I found Chasing Sunsets very early in its creation and I've been happy to support on SS as soon as I started playing and enjoying it.
I've never regretted giving them my support and, once it came out on Steam, buying it for myself and for friends who would have otherwise never found it.
I hope you can find other AVNs that give you the kind of sex scenes you want.
For me - I'm very happy with how they tell the story, including the existing sex scenes, and I can't wait for more time with Jaye (and Mallory)!

When I first saw the banner of this game, it didn't surprise me at all. Not gonna lie, at first I thought Jaye's hair and eye looked too unnatural, and I 'judged the book by its cover'.
Then I saw her show show up in one of my favorite VNs, Leap of Faith. She looked nice there, and I just left it at that.
I finally gave it a shot, and I wanna punch myself for not having tried it before.
Chasing Sunsets has the most accurately facial expressions I've seen in a VN, especially MC's and Jaye's. The story is plausible, the dialogue is natural. The pop culture reference are on fucking point and funny as hell and the story in general is compelling. Dunno what else to say, this VN is a 10 out of 10.

CS really is on another level. The scene framing, posing, expressions, dialogue, character development... It's in a league of it's own, IMO. The effort they put into expressions really makes a difference because the characters feel like they're actually delivering lines. So many other VNs have the characters stand in a static pose in the middle of the frame like a mannequin or have stiff botox face expressions.
The only thing that takes me out of it in CS is that in some of the sex animations the girls faces change so much that they look like different people. It's particularly noticeable in CH5 with the "Boss Man/Boss Lady" scene and the "Two O'Cock" scene. It's like they have doubles standing in for the sex scenes lol.
