I'll make it simpler then, thank the folks here on F95 who made this guide (it's not mine but it works). I suggest you use URM so you see the point gains/losses.

  • Get nearly every available Jaye Love point. You need 95+ out of 97 possible points at the time the script checks, which is when you have sex with Jaye in the cabin in Chapter 9.
  • Get as many Mal Love points as you can that don't require you giving up Jaye Love points. You need 80+ Mal points at the time the script checks (same time as above). Where many people mess up is looking at both sunbathing (1 missed Jaye point), telling Kaili you like both (1 missed Jaye point), or having morning 69 sex with Mal (2 missed points later on with Jaye since you are tired during sex). You only have a 2 point margin of error with Jaye's points, so you can do some of these things but not all of them.
  • In Ch 6, when asked by Mal about the relationship, tell her you "thought it was about helping her". You can't be in an open or committed relationship with her.
  • In Ch 6, when asked by Jaye about the relationship, tell her you "want it all". You need to be in a committed relationship with her.
  • Don't cheat with anyone after committing to Jaye (the relationship talk mentioned above). This includes even non-penetrative stuff like grinding. Jaye and Mal are fine with you sleeping around before committing, however.
  • In Ch 9, when Jaye is on the phone about her University problems, ask what's wrong and use the "I'd like to phone a friend" option.
  • In Ch 9, after paintball and by the lake with Mal, tell her "I wish things were different".
And that's it, you should be on the Jaye/Mal throuple or poly route whatever you want to call it at the end of chapter 9.

Was going to ask if someone could put this in the OP. As a poly route guide, but I doubt that most of the people asking would even bother to look there.

I'll make a short pdf of it later in the week, if it makes it into the OP that's another thing. But will be busy with work for a few days.

If all we need is a short PDF, then "Bam!"

EDIT:
I should note that after making this PDF, I became aware that there is another slightly different way to reach the poly ending. Specifically, in Chapter 6, you can tell Mallory "Let's just play it by ear for now" instead of "I thought this was about helping you". You must still tell Jaye "I want all the things".

This temporarily puts you in an Open relationship with Mal and then an Intimate relationship with Jaye. Later on when Mal and Jaye encounter each other in the hallway outside MC's room, Mal automatically shifts from Open to Friend. So you end up in the same approximate place as the method I mention in the guide, just with slightly different points.

In any case, it is good to know the option exists, since at least to me it feels a bit more honest and less harsh on Mal.

Feel free to do so of course if you want to make something prettier or more detailed. I've hit my limit of reposting or linking my tips I think though, at least for a while. :ROFLMAO:

It's amazing how Stoya consistently makes terrible decisions. I feel like his day job must be at Disney ruining beloved franchises, then returning home to a glass of artisanal boxed wine, turning on his Blink-182/My Chemical Romance mix tape, and asking Grok how to subvert expectations with his next VN.

Please, Kentyrr, find someone else to collaborate with.
Which one of them is the writer? By your comment i will assume is Stoya in which if it is , i definitely agree with you on here . Chasing Sunsets started so well, so interesting and just went down and down and down to the point where i didn't even knew why was i still playin it anymore.

She won't be. She will be a side girl at best and a cameo at worst, to always get pumped and dumped. I believe the main girls have already been named for Firebreak.
  • Ren
  • Akshaya
  • Monica
  • Taylor
  • Tara
  • Lisa
  • Mikaela
  • Amie
  • Skye
  • Imani
if these are the girls that will be in Firebreak , i'm already out , my interest was 0 because of Chasing Sunsets ending and now it's -1

I don't think you really need to have played Artemis or Summer Scent to get the gist of what was being conveyed. Even the person I was explaining it to understood that she was an AI, and from what I remember the SS cameo is just a short scene where Jaye talks with Eve on the phone. Obviously you do get more out of it if you've played the games though.
At least for Artemis, I don't think grasping that she's an AI is sufficient given her significant role in this story. She's given complete control of the gene editing technology that Jaye and Mallory (and the MC if we agree) spent considerable time assuring us was extremely perilous. People who know Artemis only as a remarkably capable AI that Amanda met in a sex-chat forum are rightly going to wonder why a random robot is a more suitable guardian than someone they already know is a decent person (like, say, Dr. Sophie Allard).

This game shouldn't rely on our familiarity with a separate game to provide characterization for plot-relevant actors. You could fairly easily replace Artemis with someone else, say, the Lone Gunmen from the X-Files or or Demona from Gargoyles and (lawsuits aside) it wouldn't change the events within this game at all - but it would have a significant effect on how we view the eventual use to which the gene editing technology would be put. IMHO that's too much context to be left as homework for the player.

I'm using the guide but I can't get to the end with both. :(
Its really not that hard man. You just need to start a relationship with both but choose Jaye when it comes to it, don't do anything else with Mallory and stay 100% loyal to Jaye but when you reach the lodge scene with Mallory, say that you still has feelings for her, then in the last scene with Jaye she will ask if you want to try a poly relationship if your Love/Trust is high enough.
