They are the same characters. In the end it will be 2 LIs with the same model as Tara and Lisa, I doubt there will be many references to CS, names excluded.

Yeah, no buddy...The Dev has been answering questions about them both on some of his Reddit posts promoting the game. And he's confirmed that they're the exact same characters from CS, and that there will be occasional cameos from other CS characters as well on top of that.In the end it will be 2 LIs with the same model as Tara and Lisa, I doubt there will be many references to CS, names excluded.
I suppose if you're playing the games in reverse order things could get awkward, but honestly if a player is doing that and doesn't want to see it, they can choose to avoid (most) of it (don't think Tara's flashback scene is avoidable). It's kind of on the player though if they're intentionally playing the games out of order. Firebreak is a sequel, not an alternate universe type of thing. To be honest, I wouldn't want to see my current girlfriend in a sex scene with her ex. I'm really curious to see how the developers handle that
Nah, CS and Firebreak are pretty connected. "William" from CS is the new MC in Firebreak. Lara, Tara, and Bianca will be in Firebreak. Etc.In the end it will be 2 LIs with the same model as Tara and Lisa, I doubt there will be many references to CS, names excluded.
I was actually wondering about that myself when he turned up called "William". It seemed very much like a "placeholder until the player names him" type of deal. So is it actually confirmed? That's our new leading man?"William" from CS is the new MC in Firebreak. Lara, Tara, and Bianca will be in Firebreak. Etc.
Your words are plain as day; you think the MC Is a piece of shit who is wanting Mal only for her body in that scene. I don't block people just because you don't like being called out on your own wording....which wasn't actually the point of my question at all? I asked the question with the idea of finding out whether there's a way to reach the ending through different means and received an answer a few posts below. For whatever reason you decided to see it as and to try to prove "my case" or something (whatever my case here is supposed to be)? Your words. Wouldn't that also mean that by twisting my words you're virtue signaling agains me, or something?
Anyway, I'm not an expert on this political-correctness-incorrectness stuff and have no interest in being educated on it or having any discussions about it. So let's just mutually block each other and pretend that this farce never happened.

Makes sense yeah. The MC in the current Firebreak preview images also seems to match him visually. The DARPA project they are talking about at the time is also codenamed Firebreak, or something like that. So that whole sequence of events is setting up the next game. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Yes, they do discuss it again near the end of that route's epilogue.Makes sense yeah.
And in the last flash forward for the throuple route at least. Doesn't Mal ask the MC about Firebreak again there? and he responds with something along the lines of "it's all been sorted out now, and it's all good" something like that.
In my opinion, Tara's characterisation is entirely linked to her friendship with Jaye, so unless Jaye is as present in Firebreak as Tara was in CS, she will just be a girl who looks like Tara and is called Tara. They are the same characters.
That's a weird perspective to me, personally. I don't view seeing someone in a different environment or from a different perspective as seeing a different person, just as seeing a different side of the same person. It expands their character depth. Unless it's explicitly an alternate universe or timeline, of course. In my opinion, Tara's characterisation is entirely linked to her friendship with Jaye, so unless Jaye is as present in Firebreak as Tara was in CS, she will just be a girl who looks like Tara and is called Tara.
in the same way that Robin without Batman is no longer Robin and becomes something else.
For Lisa, it's different, because her characterisation, if we exclude her incestuous past, is very generic, so it's easier for her to remain the same character.
WTF is HEA?That's a weird perspective to me, personally. On that note, as for how linked CS and Firebreak are, they've said that they intend to try to import world state variables from CS into Firebreak. So it's intended to be a sequel unambiguously.
I doubt CS MC, Jaye, and Mal will have significant presence though, even if they have cameos. They've had their time in the spotlight and hopefully their HEA. And the epilogues show them not being heavily involved in the Firebreak project.
HEA = Happily Ever After.WTF is HEA?
Be almost impossible to import variables, though it could ask certain things at the start if you played CS (of course asking first IF you played it. And if you want to have what you did there have an effect.) Would have to be pretty basic, like which ending you got, because there would be too many other things to remember.
It was, but there seemed to be some people here that weren't aware of just how directly connected it is intended to be. And even I didn't expect them to intend to try to import world state variables.I thought it was made pretty clear it was going to be a sequel involving characters who weren't main ones.
The most important thing is that Tara has her original hairstyle: the other one is awful. It was, but there seemed to be some people here that weren't aware of just how directly connected it is intended to be. And even I didn't expect them to intend to try to import world state variables.
I still don’t understand the whole storyline with Tara — what was the point of having sex with the main character and his sister, only to completely disappear from the plotIn the end it will be 2 LIs with the same model as Tara and Lisa, I doubt there will be many references to CS, names excluded.
