Anyone know if this is actually still being worked on? I know in the 1.01 post they said they were tweaking things, mainly regarding the endings but not sure if that was just 'saying' or actual action from the dev's.

I hope Jaye/Mal and MC get a proper throuple, because Mal and Jaye have both indicated they weren't opposed to being 'involved' with women, Jaye at least received, and I could see Mal instigating things with her "push the boundaries" mentality.

All three are strong, so wouldn't have to worry about a power struggle if they would just acknowledge things and push all that passion for competition into love for each other (or at least lust). Would be worth any wait to see a canon Jaye & Mal 'enjoying' each other with the MC initially watching and then him joining in to complete the full poly/throuple ending.

There's still an update before it's completed, containing the proper endings. Last I heard they were aiming for a May release.

Yes every choice you can make is done. The story is complete. But the epilogue is coming out soon

So? It still has an ending, ending credit scenes and credits. The MAIN STORY IS COMPLETE, hence why it got the completed tag.

Did you look at the upload/tag rules?

1. Complete: when a game is released in its full version as stated by the developer. Note that complete games might still receive patches and post-release content.

Well, here we are near the end of a journey that began three years ago.
Tonight, we release Chasing Sunsets Chapter 9, which brings the main story arc to a conclusion.

As we ease into the holiday season, Stone Fox has been hard at work on the final content update for Chasing Sunsets.
As of today, the last artwork not specific to any ending is rendering, and all remaining artwork and scripting will be to flesh out the path terminus for the player's choices.

As previously stated, these will include glimpses of the present, near-future, and a longer-term future for the protagonist and whomever he chose to end the story with.

Stoya is headed out for a tropical vacation tomorrow and will be out of pocket for about ten days, but Kent has plenty of scenes to brainstorm and build artwork for while he's out.

Current image count for Chapter 10 sits at about 700, with probably double that pending.

It's been a really fun experience working on the end of a game, and we're looking forward to bringing this one across the finish line in the near future.

When I return, depending on where Kent is in the art backlog, I will focus on getting the Ch0-9 bugfix out the door before finalizing the script for each of the endings.

Yeah, this was meant to be the workflow after v1.0, not sure how much of it still holds true.

To be clear, there are at least three updates left: The first will be a mid-cycle update that includes consolidation of the two divergent codebases and a massive cleanup of the earlier chapters and the removal unused images, sounds, etc.

The second will be the epilogue which looks ahead at how your ending pans out. Effectively the final chapter.

The last will be our revamp of the first 2.5 chapters to bring things up to our state of the art. Call it the "remaster."

By next year at this time, we expect to be deep into the development of Firebreak.

It’s gross, but when you’re young and horny, anything will do. Well, to be fair "brings the main story arc to a conclusion" and "released in its full version" are not the same thing at all, and it's "we are near the end" not "we are at the end." But this has been covered many times already (and will continue to be covered when the next wave of confused people hit).

It doesn't matter, this how uploaders/mods add the tag. If the "story" is complete, then it's completed.

It was also released as complete on itch.io and steam.
