Like everyone else, I was really looking forward to the final episode of the game... But now that I'm reading all the negative comments, I don't know if I want to play it... It's sad to see that such a great game has such weak endings... But this must be because of the new game, because the author is now paying more attention to it... Unfortunately...

Give it a try bud. Like I said I enjoyed it for the most part, especially the poly ending.

Thanks bro for the encouragement, but I'm still a little sad... Jaye has been my profile picture for over two years now, and in my head I've always wanted an epic happy ending. But unfortunately what I'm reading now is just a fraction of that... But that's my fault if my expectations are too high for the ending of games...

My advice, which I am very good at following myself: Ignore it all and make up your own mind. Yeah, maybe you'll be disappointed, but don't go into it with that mindset and become a self-fulfilling prophecy. For me, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I'll probably find I could have enjoyed it more, but that's pretty much always going to be the case already...

This is me, but last release when I thought the game was finished. It's silly, but the game means a lot to me. I'm attached to the characters, their story and their relationships. When I heard 1.0 ended pretty shit I just thought, "okay, I'll come back to this when I'm in a better frame of mind". Then when I thought to come back, it was to news that 1.0 wasn't the ending and there was in fact going to be an epilogue.

So I've waited (and waited) to start my last playthrough. Seeing the reviews leaves me feeling a little cold, but poor endings or not I feel like I need to finish the story.

Just to say, I feel you. I don't want it to end, and I don't want it to end in a disappointing manner, but you can't put the book on the shelf with the last chapter unread.

We'll always have Tonalu.

Thanks guys, it would really be wrong to put this story aside without closure, but now I still have the feeling of "disappointment"... I'll definitely think about it, because I really liked this story... Have a nice day and good game...

I thought it was sweet & it does what an epilogue is supposed to do (it's not just another chapter). It tied up ancillary loose-ends (the trial, the ring, etc.) and riffed & expanded on core themes of the story (travel, the parents, corporate intrigue, intimacy, etc.). It even gave me more, story-wise, than I'd expect from an epilogue. So I'm quite happy with it. Then again, I thought the game ended well enough to begin with so I see this as a cherry on top.

Just expect sober cuteness more than crazed sexiness & you'll probably like it.

Why don't you guys ignore all of the comments disappointed people made and make up your own mind? Play it, if you're not satisfied, fair enough, but you would have made your own mind.

Now it seems to me that a lot of the negativity is unfair, and I'll try to explain my point of view.

To me part of the beauty of this AVN (aside from well-executed renders) is its character development and psychology, for lack of a better word. There are so many poorly-written AVNs out there, not just dialogs but where character development is poor or non-existent (ok MC, let's fuck...)...Chasing Sunsets is NOT that. You can relate to it in a way, because it has real-world emotions and character personalities behind it. It's fantasy, but a believable one, and there aren't that many.

Sorry if you're not seeing that or if you just don't care. Again, just my POV.

And on not having all potential girls featured in the epilogue, just one comment from Peanut herself...she speaks the truth, as always:

F95 sees a lot of AVNs that either don't survive to an ending or the ending is rushed.

I'm pleased to see that Chasing Sunsets got a very good ending.

It was not perfect, but it could never be and still match the expectations of Everyone who enjoyed this AVN.

I'm looking forward to trying the other ending variations, but this was my preferred path and I'm going to wait a few days before checking out the other possibilities.

I also enjoyed the hints about Firebreak - their next AVN.

So - heres to getting a real ending to Chasing Sunsets!

There are no animations because those used to be done by a third-party who’s no longer involved in the game…

Did the devs told people that Chapter 10 would not have animations?

You need to buy it first, but why would you if the ending is as disappointing as people say?

Well, first of all, this game has always been about only two LIs, Mal and Jaye, the other girls were just distractions.

Sure, the guy travels the world, meets several women but for some reason he only wants to be with Jaye/Mallory.

Bianca? She wanted a baby, you were not quite ready.

Why not give players a choice?

Lisa? Career-obsessed lady who can't slow down. Again, reason for many couples to end it when jobs get in the way.

The devs should have put under "developers notes" that only Jaye/Mallory would have (satisfying) endings. The side girls shouldn't have lead the mc on and state right from the start that they would never be together. At this point all the side girls and Mallory too could be removed from the game 'cause it looks like it wouldn't make a difference...

There have been 2 main LI's since the beginning and that's not gonna change in the epilogue. The rest are only side girls.
