IMO it would be a nice touch if his behavior (and other outcomes in the story) is influenced by the choices we make. It would add immersion and replayability to the game.
So far, though, the only choice is how he gets tossed into the sea. There is no choice to the snubbing when Christian tries to talk to the MC.
