i know these guys. they make good stuff. But i want some context and plot. For example Ragnegs videos are basically, mc travels to dungeon, gets raped.

If its the real artist and he completely stops, It'll be very sad given that IMO he's someone I actually support and like his animations especially the transitions and story, but until he realizes he can't exactly stop piracy but only use it as a platform to boost his own work for a larger audience I doubt he'll be over this argument
Were all just waiting on him to atleast send out 1 video in August, which is close to not being done.... Will see in the next few days, till deadline if he can or not keep his promise.

I'm not sure why you guys think he makes his own animations. He doesn't. I'm not saying it doesn't take a lot of work to do what he does. Making movies takes a fuqq ton of writing, filming, editing, modding expertise(knowing how to get mods to work together/custom patching etc).. but to say the animations are his is just wrong. His animations come from several different creators like Billy, Anubis etc. They are mods. Mods he didn't create. In fact he doesn't make any mods what so ever(using a template follower mod for in-game lip-sync is not mod creation. It's rudimentary mod creation at best. A 12minute youtube video could tell anyone in here how to do the same. It takes literally no skill.. just a lot of patience lol). As someone who is affluent in modding and mod creation I can literally name every mod he's using just by watching his videos, I can literally tell you where every animation in his video comes from.. Which is where my disgust of him begins.
Let me be clear I love that people are making adult skyrim machinima and I absolutely believe they deserve financial compensation in the form of patreon, etc, for many who make a lot of content it's literally a full time job of work(everyone deserves to be paid for making content). It's awesome, it's great. It takes skill but CREDIT MOD AUTHORS! It takes a lot of work to put together a script, film scenes(especially since Skyrim even heavily modded is a PoS to work with). Getting good shots even with the best camera mods and all the damn clipping etc that happens in Skyrim SE is a complete cluster fuq at the best of times. My point is, it takes even more work to make the damn mods he's using and not crediting.. he makes none of the assets he uses.. WHICH IS STILL FINE BUT FUQQING CREDIT THEM! Mod authors are not asking him to give them money etc. They do however require you to credit their use.
This is my biggest issue with CHRS. He's a kunt, he uses assets and never credits them. I think I saw like one video maybe two where he credited maybe 20% of the mods he used. DISGUSTING. There should be literally a 1-2min credits scene after every video detailing all the mods used. AGAIN, I have no problem with what he does.. but bloody well start crediting mod and animation authors. It's like using and creating movie production assets in unreal engine 5 and not crediting EPIC MEGA GAMES, You notice at the end of mandalorian, credit is given to epic mega games because they made the damn game engine as mandalorian uses for all it's mass screen backdrops and CGI environments(they also have to pay them because it's a for profit use). It's like making adult videos in Koikatsu or making games using Koikatsu studio and not crediting illusion studios, it's fuqqing bullshit. CHRS is an exploiting moron like the rest of the creators I've seen so far. Barely any of them credit the assets they use.
So to be very clear about creators like this. If they don't credit mod authors they are kunts and not worth following. I hope his subscribestar crashes and burns because he deserves it. You want to make adult machinima fine. But actually realize and credit where you're ability to do so comes from. It comes from bethesda firstly(which I've also never seen him credit) and mod authors/animators secondly. It's literally a fuqqing bare minimum of what he should do. Some of the game developers I've seen that use skyrim for their renpy games actually fully credit and also contribute to the skyrim modding community themselves, which is very commendable but all these adult skyrim machinima creators do diddly shit on a stick and it's about time it needs to be called out!

I can only speak for myself but I know that he is using Skyrim mods from LoversLab and Nexusmods as the foundation for his videos.
I agree he should credit mod authors since he makes money from it.
I actually really like the writing CHRS does but this year has just been a catastrophe.
Taking money while ghosting people and not delivering videos, just like the stereotypical Patreon/Subscribestar creator.
Yup that's also a big issue with him obviously it goes without saying that I agree with you. I can't remember which creator it was but on another Skyrim Adult Machinima forum there were people defending his actions of not crediting. It was.. disgusting.. They asked why? Why should he have to? I'll tell you why. There are people like the above mentioned individual and obviously myself who know what he is doing.. who know where the mods come from, who know he's basically only making movies and not mods.
However that said, there are even more people throwing money at him under the assumption that he's not only making vidoes but making either all or a some of the mods he's using. This is why credit is important. So people go into supporting him fully understanding what he is doing and nothing thinking he's literally a 10 person dev studio and content creator all in one.. because people are ignorant. Not everyone is familiar with all this stuff. A LOT of people enjoy video games and even adult content but have spent zero time actually playing a modded game(which is fine, not shaming anyone for that).
Personally I can't and never could stand Skyrim until it had a lot of mods come out for it and then I started making some of my own because Skyrim to me is a shell of a game until modded. I never even finished my first play through until I cobbled together my own first solid and stable 1500 mod list. My point is none of us would be here playing Skyrim in a next gen fashion or using it to make adult machinima if it wasn't for the hundreds of thousands of community mod author hours put in. Credit where credit is due.
P.S. I honestly wish mod authors got better compensation. I think hosting sites got more profitable on it.. I'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes at nexus.. but if they are making a lot of money off of hosting mod work(I doubt they are but I honestly can't know one way or the other) they should be sharing that among the most prolific mod authors, whose mods are most used.
Well he posted an update today, confirming that the 2 August videos have been delayed and bla bla bla not to sub in September and more excuses, BS.
Again he failed, so i already unsubbed, its a real shame because his videos were great, (most atleast), so from where i see unfortunately due to the lack of capability and ambition, this guy wont be able to make videos properly (in all meanings), so not worth supporting/following, plus i and believe many other did not like his "response" here in the forum, where in websites like this is work is elevated and shown/advertised to many..... Resume DO NOT SUB ever again

The initial success on Patreon probably got in his head. But he did corner the market for Skyrim porn initially, rather than just some dudes gameplay and just cycle through animations, CHRS made it cinematic. Though I disagree with him crediting mod creators in his videos, I think a modlist or making a guide directing people interested in modding. The most he should credit(in his videos) are the custom animations, and artists who made the costumes.
I do agree with the consistency issue, he should have just settled for once a month just to get his bearings; do understand that CHRS has a life outside of this and it is disrespectful to chain him to this work. Unfortunately I unsubscribed to him long ago because I realized that when he puts up polls for contents that equine and canine content will always win. I have no problem with that content but eventually it becomes uninspired content regardless of the story content. I think he should make whatever he wants to make and not be chained to the desires of his supporters. It did get to that before he went on his hiatus, and I was going to resub.
Fortunately for us and possibly unfortunately for him, smut creators using Skyrim as their studio stepped up to plate such as Ragneg, Kiptisin, Erotica3D, and NikyTale. I like Nikytales approach, though one could desire for something longer and the content is visual sharp, like crisp.
Really weird take.. I literally just explained why he should be fully crediting mod authors. The issue, since you clearly missed it, is that many assume he's creating many of the mods which are used. Crediting wouldn't be necessary if many weren't so ignorant of how adult skyrim machinima is produced but here we are. He absolutely needs to credit all mods used. It's the bare minimum, like why are you disagreeing with something that would take him 20mins tops to do once and he would never have to do it again. It's literally a cut and paste in davinci resolve for every video.. so that people know where the assets actually come from. Obviously outfits and animations are most important and should be at the forefront of the credits but it all needs to be in the credits.
Many mods rip assets from other sources and often they never mention that, however I have never paid directly for a mod and I don't know if it is common for mod creators to do so.
Once you start charging for your content the absolute least you can do is give credit to those who have created the content you are directly profiting from.
Especially if your content depends fully upon specific animations created by someone else from scratch.
Or put your modlist behind a paywall. That too is a form a credit, right?

Very true, I subbed to a number of 3D animators/SFMers because I got a sample of their work here. I want to support them for those that deliver quality work; even tho I use F95, I am subbed to 5 SFMers on Subscribestar and 2 on Patreon.

The latest Luell & Serana was such a disappointment, and Kamari was just okay. Same with Paws of Trust 1 but it’s big problem was being way too story focused. I hope Paws of Trust 2 is good
