this got completed 7 months ago, steam update came later and no news about new game since early days and he could make some patreon updates while drinking mai tais.

Right Click game in Steam -> Manage -> Browse Local Files -> game folder -> saves -> copy all files
Then repeat the last 3 steps, but instead of copying, paste the files.

Absolutely. After some fuckfests and hollow updates, I'd expect this game to at least finish on a high note. Which didn't happen. Shame...
I still love the LIs, beautiful renders, and stuff...but it could have at least ended better...

Or semi retired, the final parts of this game for me was clearly a sign of a bit of burn out developer. It is good for creators sometimes take a longer break so they get their "creative juices" flowing better and probably to get their own life in order and nothing better than a good break after completing a game/creation. It would be much worse if this was abandoned/on hold in the middle of development. Take this with a grain of salt because I don't follow AVNs besides on this site/forum, rarely I check their other channels like discord or patreon etc etc.

Sucks a lot to be honest to know/think he may not create another one. Philly was one of the best when it came to lores and creating a world from scratch. The ending to CoBD maybe rushed us but apart from that, both of his games were beautiful. Made you sitck beyond the porn and at the edge of your seat.
Hope he is doing well, wherever that maybe.

Yep both their games are in my "restrict" Tier S list of 27 games at the moment, some of them are in my sig but I keep it with 1 game per developer (also at the limit of characters to write on it haha). Besides Philly there is only other 4 developers that have 2 games in said list.
Yeah the last chapters might be a bit rushed but they still told the story Philly wanted to tell I guess and is one of the best on this site for me, but to be honest I had to be in the right mood to start playing COBD for the first time (only on 2nd attempt, first only played the first chapter hehe) because for cyberpunk stories (one of my favorite sci-fi sub genres) I can't be in the wrong state of mind to watch/play them, same happened when I re-watch Blade runner or Ghost in the Shell for example, for Akira I really have to be in a great mood

Well, Philly did say while the game still had a few chapters to go that the next game is in the same dystopia universe as CoBD, but with a completely different cast.
And as far as I know he hasn't said anything about changing his mind.

also, would it be possible by any chance to view your tier-list? i've been wanting to try something new but a lot of VNs are lacking somewhere or the other.

Yeah usually cyberpunk uses heavy or very out of the box scenarios (to say the the least) and also very dark environments, so I have to make sure my state of mind is up there because if I feel even just a little down or stressed and not so open minded and willing to enter a state of suspension of disbelief more than I usually I already do (since I love sci-fi and fantasy) I won't enjoy it like I should.
Sure, I can start a private conversation with you with my list including the direct links for the page threads, just give me some minutes. But be aware that it is just my personal taste Tier S games, I'm sure each one have their own in their minds.
