Apparently following the hint system and clicking the location on the map is grinding. Not even joking, I have seen this exact thing described as "grinding" in other threads.

Definitely not a grind but it's annoying enough that I've never played through the whole game. The story and characters are solid but sandbox games just aren't great most of the time.

why?, why not just play the original game? i understand that some people doesn't have the patience to grind but the original game is pretty addictive, unlike vn style game, sandbox let you explore the game much more .

Not really sure why you think that, the patreon and subscribestar links to ARC games, the actual producer of CK. Genuinely seems like the producer of this game just wants to re-hash it in a different way that might be more digestible to some people. Maybe also use this as a chance to learn and grow as a developer and then make money later, sure, that's possible, but they aren't getting funding for this project.

Definitely not a grind but it's annoying enough that I've never played through the whole game. The story and characters are solid but sandbox games just aren't great most of the time.

The combat system and the UI changes made it pretty unplayable from my point of view. If that's changed, then yeah, it would be a great fix.

As long as he doesn't take credit from or create his own page to make money apart from the original dev, and it seems like he credits the original game not himself in the links, this seems like a cool idea.

If this isn't how you like to play it, don't. Play the original.
... But you don't need to be some porn autist that can't grasp other people like different things than you that don't involve the same repeated tasks.

If it is how you want to play it and avoid sandbox, do play it. Cool, you have this option now that the original dev probably would never put the time into.

I can see a somewhat complain about the combat system they are implementing but is implemented like 15 HOURS LATER INTO THE GAME.
And is not even "grindable" is part of the history like wdym.

But that point aside, if you are just doing it without trying "gain money" just talk with the creators itself.
If you get the permission i woudn't mind this version.

But personally speaking the sandbox part it's what i like the most, putting aside that there are not that well made adult sandbox games, this one it's one of the most quickly playable (just like 3-4 hours if you skip all dialog and follow the book) like it's so easy to play, don't see an actual need of a VN "remake" but ok.

Everyone realizes we're about to argue about this for a few pages then it's not going to matter because fan remakes almost always end up abandoned, right? Like I'm not saying we shouldn't keep doing this but let's be realistic where it's probably going to end anyway.

I mean, not really? I didn't find it so at least, and my cute ADHD ass can barely get through text games cause I can't focus. Unless your a boomer or a zoomer (who have crap attention spans).

Here is what I want to know, did you ask permission to do this? Regardless of whether or not this is making money you should still ask Arc before you go remaking one of his projects.
