I did play this game 2 years ago and it was roughly at version 0.18.x now it is at 0.23.4. That does not sound like much of a progress. Is the game progressing really that slowly or is there a lot of content hidden behind these few numbers?
with that speed (0.05.0 progress in 2 years) it would take 30 years for the game to be finished. I am starting to get worried a bit because i love the game.
I believe the devs are milking the shite out of their patrions. I don't know how much they make out of every platform they receive donations from, but I doubt they need much investment. The game is a 2d style very small game compared to say, a first person shooter that takes 8 years to develop. Not to mention the budgeting that goes for a game of that caliber.

So we have to ask the question: where do the donations mainly go to if not the Claire's quest itself? The answer is the devs pockets. There's a problem if these small game devs start thinking they should earn bank off a game this size that's taking 5+ years to complete.

Their excuse will be that other game with the pink hair protagonist.

Development on this game has always been relatively slow. Also, they were mostly creating additional content for their other game Overgrown Genesis for most of the time you're referring to. They have started trying out a second artist recently, in order to speed up art production, but if you're looking for a game with quick updates, this isn't it. Who knows, it might speed up with more people doing the art, but somehow I doubt it.

They make 10K on Patreon (and that's before Patreon take their cut and taxes). They are a team of 8 people. That sure sounds like they're getting billionaires by "milking the shite out of their patrons". What do you mean by "the Devs pockets"? and "earn bank off a game this size"? Of course it goes into their pockets. It's called making a living. Should they work on it for free, just because it's a small game?

And did you seriously just compare a mini team of Indies working on porn games with a studio working on a "first person shooter"? Some of you people really need to grow up.

They don't make it for free, and that's the point. 10,000 a what? Week? A month? A year? They have been on this for 6 years apparently and still can't finish a tiny game. Even after having 8 people working on it? I compare them to a big company to point out that something doesn't make sense if they take that long for a non-moving art game with Gameboy graphics.

You are probably one of the Patriots that have been donating for years only to get mediocre updates. It's not my fault they spit in your mouth and you take it. My comment has truth in it and obviously rubs you simps the wrong way.

The only truth is your comment is how much of a entitled pirate you are. I would tell you to read about game development but I don't think you have the desire to actually learn anything...:FacePalm::FacePalm:
So, congratulations you just won a one way ticket to the ignore list.

Hi there. Anyone knows if the game is close to completion? It's huge and I want to play it once it's complete. Thanks!

Ah! I forgot about Overgrown Genesis. Well if they start concentrating on Claire again it might speed up a bit. but 10k for 8 people is not much money especially considering how expensive good artwork is.

CLAIRE'S QUEST: VERSION NUMBER 0.24.1 [COMPLETE]

• New quest for the Thieves Questline, “Inside Job”, can now be completed. Includes one new scene, a double-penetration gangbang, which occurs if caught while trying to escape at the end (also auto-unlocks in Gallery just by clearing the quest).

• New quest for the Sisters of Fertility Questline, “Meet Your Maker”, can now be completed. Includes TWO new scenes, a makeout session with Mia at the start of the quest, and the Oubliette bondage orgy scene at the end of the quest.

• Fixed plugin/Javascript issues with action button (“P”) not working and default to previous action button (“A”) instead. In general, minimap, stealth system, and controls, should all have been properly integrated now.

• Fixed the error with fail conditions activating for “Far From Home” quest in Rivermont even if you completed the quest correctly.

• Fixed consistency issues with meeting Charlotte in Valos from Rivermont instead of Hookton; she should now properly acknowledge that you came from Rivermont together.
