I don't know if it was discussed before? The money grind.

The intention of the game is :
this game is totally devoid of any form of combat or grinding.
As I posted on previous page, the breeding farm and its additional costs for Isobelle sum up to 14.000 silver. And with more girls on the farm the costs will likely increase.
If Claire decides to use the 4 teachers to push up her attributes to 20 before doing further quests (to min/max stats), she may spend maybe another 20.000 silver. (The points close to 20 cost 800 silver each due to increasing costs.)
This sums up to 30.000 - 40.000 silver depending on play style. In my playthrough I did all the quests and looted every chest I found but mostly did not use teachers. Still I ended with only little more than 5.000 silver in my pockets.

How can the player pay for the farm and the teachers without grinding money or using a money cheat/exploit?

I think that the farm is meant to be lategame content in the grander scheme of things (and I think it should be more profitable to compensate the price), I think further down the line the idea will be to be constantly travelling between the 4 islands doing small quests in all of them, rather than trying to finish all the content in one before moving to the next, also I think the trainers are there mainly to fix big stat deficits you can have in some runs where you mess up, so I don't think the intent is to use them to minmax by trying to bring everything to 20 before doing any other quests. You can do it, I just don't think it will really unlock anything cool and is more of a trick that requires grinding.

Since the game still has a lot of content to add, I don't think the balance is a priority, which is why you can use cheats in the menu, to access and test the content that would otherwise only be meant to be accessed late into a playthrough. If for whatever you reason you don't want to cheat, even while being aware the game isn't properly balanced and probably won't be until a lot more content is added, I think one of the casino games was poorly designed, the one where 2 dies are cast and you need to bet on either highs or lows, I remember 7 counting as a "high" so betting on high actually had a positive ratio in terms of risk-reward, so gambling non-stop would generally be profitable, savescumming every once in a while to get rid of any unlucky bad streaks would make it even more so, so it was decently fast and reliable, way better than working for the money given the current work options.

In one of the older posts a brothel management game for Sorraine was mentioned. This might produce a steady income in the future (whenever this feature will be added).
If the farm is tweaked to have the girls work on their own, it could also provide a small income.
It would be nice to have a bank where Claire can take a loan to finance her business and later repay using the profit.

At the moment Alchemy is an easy way to make money, but it is close to an exploit due to unlimited resources.
The Casino has the flaw that bets are limited to only 50 silver for me, so it takes forever to win e.g. 10.000 silver. If you could bet 1.000 silver or even more, Casino would be an alternative source of income.

According to older posts :
The refugee camp and Hookton are places of the prolog.
Rathpike and Valos are early game (easy) locations.
Sorraine should be mid game.
Trissengrad up north then might be probably already end game (highest difficulty).
Therefore I am not sure if the player will travel often between the 4 islands once the game is finished.

I didn't know about the alchemy thing, haven't played the game in a few versions now and the gambling was the best thing I could do at the time to get money without cheating (I think alchemy hadn't been added yet).

I don't follow their patreon posts so I wouldn't know if they made their plans publically known, but I think it would be a mistake to make the later islands be locked to the player until later into the game. This game plays like an open-world game after the prologue with each island having it's own theme, would kind of suck to have to finish Rathpike and Valos before being able to even visit Sorraine and Trissengrad.

I'm fine with those islands being more difficult in general, both in terms of dangerous events, tougher stat checks, and increased price of living, but they shouldn't be straight up unavailable to a player that finds their content more interesting than Rathpike or Valos. Have at least a few side-quests be possible even to a player that just got started and an introduction to the important factions of the later islands, then have them warn Claire she is not prepared to survive here yet and she should seek out a trainer for whatever stat she will need to thrive. At least then a player that really wants to go to Sorraine and Trissengrad will know what they need to get ASAP, and a player that doesn't really care will build excitement for when they become powerful enough for them to properly explore the final islands.

I think it will be more difficult because the required stats for event options will be higher. I played prologue, Rathpike and Valos and already ended with 20-25 points in all stats. (When optimizing and exploiting the teachers the values might be even higher.) If stats requirements do not increase with the next islands, then previous choices are to a large degree meaningless and most to all players have all options available because they increase their stats with every quest they do.

In OP there is a link for a walkthrough (v 0.17.5) on google docs.
When I go to the doc, google says that they will delete the file soon because the author placed it in the recycle bin.
The walkthrough has already more than 100 pages, so maybe someone could save it or in case there is a newer version elsewhere update the link.

Two questions:
1) Can you start the Sibling Affection quest without getting into slavery on the pirate ship and letting the other girl get raped?
2) Can you get into the meat pit without the beating option while being smuggled in a crate and trying to run?

How far is this game? It has been in development for over 4 years now.. should be near the end now, isn't it though?

1) yes, see Karland questline in Valos : walkthrough chapter 5.10.2 A Priceless Book
2) there might be an option in Rathpike underground, see 2.4.3 Undercity (East)

I would guess : maybe 50% ???

You can play the prologue and 2 out of 4 islands. While the 2 islands have lots of content, they are far from being finished.
There is enough content for many hours of playing and when you reach end of current content for a questline it is usually mentioned in the questlog. The walkthrough covering current content has around 100 pages.

hol up.. this game is in development for 4 years already? that's really long x.x
As far as I know from previous posts it is a hobby project. Nobody is working full time on the game and the money the dev collects is used to pay for CGs from professional artists, creating new assets and additional coding he/she cannot do on its own or has no time to do. About 2 years ago this game had around 200 CGs, today it is 800+.
They also produced a 2nd game Overgrown in that time and published it on Steam.

You cannot compare it with full time single person projects where a dev starts with excellent skills in creating CGs and (at least basic) knowledge in coding and can do everything on its own. (For example "Being A DIK" by DrPinkCake where the dev produced around 12-13.000 CGs and many animations, etc in about 2 years.)

Let's hope that they put down enough notes what they wanted to do so they can look up their own ideas and plans when they forget details over the years. I read a lot of the older patreon posts posted here and for example last year after the overhaul they wrote about a lot of new stuff they want to do (e.g. the Shieldmaiden Odyssey, Evie and Beth on Claire's farm, Assassin's and Empathy skill for Claire, etc) and a lot of it is still pending to be implemented/published.

When checking the walkthrough site there is always popup saying "the file may be deleted soon." So they force us to login.
How about no.
Anyone has the pdf file of that walkthrough?
