So your solution is to mark the game complete and we get zero updates and no new content... It's as simple as if you like the game play the game, if you don't move on. If you want and can support then support, if you don't or can't financially support then play the game and talk in thread about the game.

Most titles I really enjoy I don't want rushed to an ending, and this story is somewhat unique in that her life and the twists and turns it takes has no real end in sight but the ride remains fun.

So I will not be pissed of while I am enjoying the title and if people can and want to support I won't be pissed of at them either. If and when I eventually get bored I may leave but having a negative emotional response to people enjoying something they like makes know sense at all.
You didn't answer the question mate. if they moved to an update every year, would you call that a scam?

My solution is to unsubscribe until they get their asses off the couch and work on the game. They're making 10k a month, you think they're gonna quit if the subscribers drop? I would say don't subscribe to the patreon under any circumstances, they already have more than enough to live a comfortable life. They will not use the additional money to improve the development of the game, it'll just go to their disposable income and further disincentivize working on the game.

This game is nearly nine years old and its not even half way done. 0.01% of games are actively in development for this long and not even halfway done. what are even on about with the rushed ending? There will literally be no ending at all, ever.

It makes perfect sense if you're directly contributing to the deterioration of a product I like. It's like a gacha game introducing a new whale mechanic and cutting content, and its player base rewards the game for it. Being pissed at the player base for rewarding scummy business practices is perfectly justifiable.

The question is whether there will be an opportunity to recruit Beth if you did not meet her in the prologue (or did not visit the refugee camp at all (where you are sold into slavery))

They are making 10k a month on patreon, i think its more than reasonable to ask for decent updates in a consistent release schedule.

Its crazy to me the amount of games that do this shit and you still get people defending them lol.

This game was published 8 years ago and It should've been completed 8 years ago too, so i think its more than fair to ask people to stop paying them to see if they stop sitting on their asses and do something

There's a game that started development around the time of Claire's quest. Called 'Roundscape Adorevia'. It's been completed and while the art isn't as good as Claire's Quest, it fucking gaps this game in sheer content alone. And I'm pretty sure you can choose to be male or female, and each path has its own art, and that doesn't include for the art of other characters.

While that game is arguably "worse" than this one, it still makes you wonder what the fuck these devs are doing.

Not a fan of Roundscape but it's good to see the guy getting recognition for not being a piece of shit.

Agreed, I couldn't get into myself. But if that doesn't show someone that the devs of this game is fucking around, I don't know what will. Hell, cyberpunk took 8 years to develop lol. And while you can't compare them on a dev level, because of the work size and experience. I don't think an RPGmaker game where the only thing you really need to work on is the art, should take nearly as long.

I mean, with the money being thrown at them, you could build up a team quite easily. And it's not like rpgmaker is some fully fledged 3D environment game engine.

The only thing that could possibly be time consuming is the art. And if commissions, monthly subscribers across two platforms that go well over 10k a month, plus donations. If you can't get that done in almost a decade, then idk what to tell you.

I MIGHT be wrong on this since it's been a hot minute since I played, but I Think, she ends up in the Pit & goes back to the mainland once you close the pit/rescue the girls from it? At least, i think that's what happened last time I played. She showed up right after I did that quest in rathpike.

Hey guys, I'm back to playing this game again because I love it. I took the South route and now all I need to do is find my way into the castle. I don't know where to find the herbs and chicken for the pig's recipe, can somebody help with that? I tried going down the well, but after talking to the horse, there was nothing else I could find to do. I couldn't even get back, so I had to just reload a save to get out. So, is there a way down the well? Thanks.

I recently restarded also. I did find a rope somewhere but never used it. I found the piggie cook in the last spot while exploring and already had the ingredients. But unfortunately cant recall where. Just check every house and floor, sometimes the stairs are quite small in the corner. But should not be too hard, even i stumbled across them. But if you choose to go with piggie, you dont need to go down the well.
