Question for the chief dudes

I'm not a big fan of this tag, and I usually filter out games with it.

So, I started the game, and the LI is having sex with another woman. By definition, that's also NTR/Netorare. I didn't like that I ended up with a game featuring NTR/Netorare, even though I filtered it out, so I reported it to have the tag added, but my request was denied.

So if the LI sleeps with another man, it's NTR/Netorare and the tag is added, but if the LI sleeps with another woman, it's not NTR/Netorare?

read the tag rules. this is the definition of netorare on f95:
  • Netorare [Designed to cause jealousy by having the romantic interest involved with someone other than the MC.]
you say it was an li but you don't explain the whole context. say for instance that a woman the mc is not yet involved with has sex with her girl/boyfriend... that shouldnt have the netorare tag according to the tag rules unless it explicity made the mc jealous, and maybe not even then depending on the context. it depends on how it was designed. having a game with couples, boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, lesbian couples, and the mc/player finding the women attractive does not make it an ntr game.

Most people do not feel woman on woman counts as NTR, personally i agree. i guess you are just gonna have to deal with it i doubt it will be changed anytime soon.

I understand "read the tag rules" but where they are? Seriously, I searched and couldn't find it.

Jealousy mc or not jealousy, I as a player don't like Li having sex with another person and I'm forced to watch it.
Such games should be labeled with the tag "Netorare" so that there won't be a shit storm in the comments about Ntr. And in the game thread there are already arguments about it.

Well, that's more accurate. Let's hope they won't drag out the tag revamp.
i don't think the new tag rules will make any difference in your case. the new netorare tag says "a love interest has sexual contact with someone else without the approval of the protagonist". it is unclear if this implies that the protagonist is already in a relationship with the love interest, but giving approval usually implies you have some authority to give approval. people don't need your approval to have sex just because you like them. being in a relationship with them, then yes.

your interpretation of the new tag also would mean any game with other couples would be ntr if the mc fancies the girl/guy in the couple.

Again, it doesn't matter if it's in a relationship or not. If it stays behind the scenes and no attention is paid to it, that's fine.
But if we're forced to look at it, then it needs to be labeled NTR, or Cuckold.
It's a porn games, and the last thing I want is a porn game without a tag with something I don't like.

you don't get to decide what matters. the mods go by the rules, and as far as i can tell, it does matter.

i now know the context, having read the explanation from the dev
https://f95zone.to/threads/love-unbound-ep-01-v0-1-1-greenmuddle.126814/post-14071406

you're even calling the li "potential li", and so does other crybabies in the thread, so even you acknowledge it's not an li yet, yet you call her li. so you're not even able to keep your own story straight.

no one cares about crybabies like you except other crybabies. stop being a crybaby

There, now you're being an asshole. Why would you do that, we're just discussing this and you just started being toxic.
Didn't you get enough shit in your cereal this morning to make you act like this?

We're discussing the NTR tag here, and whether it should be added. About how the tags should fit the game.
If you like being a cuckold that's your business, nothing against it, but don't think everyone should like it.

and you've already been told you're wrong according to site rules but you refuse to accept it and keep crying

not being an insecure crybaby does not mean people are cuckolds. this is why people like to make fun of crybabies like you, because you call people cuckolds just because they are not insecure crybabies like you

it's not.

yep, because it wasn't netorare.

So if the LI sleeps with another man, it's NTR/Netorare
it's not. unless she's TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU (which is the translation of 'netorare') against your will, it's never netorare.

if the LI sleeps with another woman, it's not NTR/Netorare?
you got it, not netorare.

to be ntr she needs to be 'yours' + she needs to be taken away AGAINST your will. which btw. doesn't mean she can't be married to someone as she might still be 'yours' by having affair with you. netorare is a form of masochism, you must be hurt for it to be ntr.

if she's taken away with your consent = sharing, not ntr.

if she's taken away without HER consent = abuse/rape, but not ntr.

if you take someone else's girl = cheating or nothing. not ntr.

In the first place, it makes no sense to base the tag on the player rather than the characters or the nature of the story. Players don't all think the same. For example, you are an overly sensitive self-inserting harem boi. But there are many other people who don't feel the slightest bit of jealousy from the scenario you are talking about (two lesbians/bi at the game start doing sexy time). So why should the tag be applied to protect you because you are overly scared of ANY situation where characters can do sexual things without the MC? Not all of those are nefarious or NTRish in terms of the story or character development.

I don't think if someone likes NTR, they're a cuckold. I only called you that because you started acting like an asshole.
If we don't discuss it, the rules will never change.

The NTR tag may not be a great fit, but it's the only tag that accommodates everything related to it.
We are forced to watch other characters have sex and the mc doesn't participate. Is there such a tag? -No. -Then the only tag that fits is NTR.

Then why are people who actually enjoy NTR forced to got notified of games that supposedly have NTR but it was only some oversensitive people throwing a fit and no actual NTR in the game?

You see, the world doesn't revolve around you. I'm all for making new tags to denote situation where it's not NTR but still has non-MC sex. I've advocated for this multiple times throughout the years. But obviously, it's always "new tag system is coming in 25 years."

I can mirror that.
Then why should people who don't like NTR learn about NTR in a game that supposedly doesn't have NTR, which is just some people who don't see NTR in the format in which it's presented?

Don't say I'm the only one who doesn't like this semi-NTR, there are plenty who don't like it. There wouldn't be any controversy if there weren't people who didn't like it.

Yes the tag system is not perfect, and again, the NTR tag is the only one that accommodates it all.
One or the other, the NTR tag must be present.
Yes, I love harem and I don't want the characters to be with anyone else, that's my, and a lot of people's, kink. That's why the tags have to be the right way to show it all.
