I have Windows 10, but my game doesn't even start, it says it's a virus, I can't even try to start it. When I try to start it gives errors where it says it's a virus and therefore the launch is cancelled. I don't know what I can do about it to play.
FIX -
Yeah, like the clip I posted, it's still under 'Virus Type', even though the description is obviously not a virus. They just don't bother to label it differently in the message.
So if you want, you can tweak your Windows Defender. In hindsight I guess this is why mine didn't trigger (not a W10 thing)>
Open up Windows Security
Under App and Browser Control, you'll see Reputation-Based Protection.
Turn this off (mine was off, probably for same reason and done forever ago).
That's not detecting viruses, just bad rep apps, which porn or Renpy (porn game engine #1) maybe triggers.
Note:
"Microsoft recommends keeping PUA protection on because PUA software can cause your device to run slowly, display unexpected ads, or install other harmful software"
More irony for me, as that describes MS pretty well. With them updating W11 and breaking Ubisofts Assassins Creed for weeks hehe.
