If you think about it, it's not worth installing the DLCs gameplaywise, because they gives you more chances to draw only a D-class x1 characters, which is a big debuff in an RNG-based game about multiplying numbers

Are the devs aware that the "Quickie Mode" is kind of terrible for what I assume is its intended purpose?

It's not a fast way to get points or cards due to not giving you a free card between stages and you can't even AFK it because you still need to click to swap between stages.

sure, i know that, but the baris so laggy, hitting the black line for critical hits is worse than winning the lottery...
I think it's poorly demonstrated, and not intuitive either, that the goal is to click below the line on the bar with timing such that the top of the bounce exactly reaches the line. You may already be doing this, I don't seem to be experiencing lag with the bar, and the game doesn't seem to be too taxing on my system.

I expect something needs to be adjusted with the design of the mechanic itself, as the intuitive method would be to click when things are aligned, but in that case you'd always miss. It also requires the bounce to be more than pixel perfect, the line can bounce to hit the black line on the bar exactly, but still be a miss. I don't think this is random, it looks to me that the computation for determining the hit on the bar is more precise than the display of the bar, which feels bad.

I give up. No matter what I do, the game runs like pure shit. The animation is literally playing at one fps. Sometimes the animations don't even play at all. There's no audio either, that's how broke this game is.

Similar specs here, never seen low framerate either. Game appears to need about 1GB RAM free to run, spikes slightly to 1.2-1.5GB when scenes change. Also runs similarly on an old low power 960 (laptop version of the nvidia 960).

There isn't much to this game, so long as your system isn't resource starved and needing to swap because you have too many tabs open, it should run reasonably.

that makes it even more sad that you aren't able to make it run normal if I can do it on this one
Not really, it just means the game is unoptimized garbage. Can't do much. Plus, after seeing a video, the gameplay is trash and animations are mid at best.

Then learn to troubleshoot your system. Like I said, this game plays at a normal FPS on an old potato of a laptop (GTX 960M). I have a feeling it would run fine on integrated graphics too.
People who try to give computer advice really sound dumb. "Learn to troubleshoot your system" is as helpful of advice as someone who knows nothing asking if you turned it off and back on again in hopes that fixes the problem lmao. Don't try to help if you really don't know shit.

While the game doesn't appear optimized, it isn't a resource hog either.

I'll stand by my advice, people should learn to analyze the tools they're working with, but I'll acknowledge that I didn't provide any assistance either. So here's some actual assistance.

Before I start, shitting on someone asking you to reboot tells me a baseline about your level of knowledge of troubleshooting. The reason people will ask you to turn a system off and on again (especially for windows) is that it resets a number of states to a replicable post-boot state (even if that isn't a good state itself). ARP and DNS caches are flushed, other applications and services are reset to their startup state, and any patches or updates will actually complete if they depend on a post-update reboot (like any network or video drivers that don't swap properly until nothing is actually using them, which is always if the computer is running).

You didn't give any meaningful details that would allow others to assist you without replicating the problem independently themselves. Since others aren't reporting a similar issue, the cause has a higher chance of being related to your workflow, or your specific system/environment. If I was suspecting your system, I'd be looking for a dxdiag.txt and msinfo32.nfo file to identify potential issues and conflicts unique to your machine (but maybe don't share those publicly).

In most cases, I prefer to look at workflow and system state first (rebooting if I think you have drivers shitting themselves because of an unfinished update), and consider what else you have open that could be constraining the system. For example, do you have 40 pornhub tabs open with videos in RAM, or worse paging in and out of RAM?

If you stared with, 'I recently rebooted and have this problem with no other tasks running', that would be one thing, but since you claim your system outperforms my best one, and this game runs on a potato, I'm betting on something else choking out resources.

Reward for those reading to the end of this, and something I'd verify if I were troubleshooting this person's system.

Hi! This one is on us. It's fixed in version 1.0.3.3a. You should be able to see Lily, Lola and Jane with this one.
Since you're being responsive, thought I'd try to give some more details on the video freezing/pausing bug.

There appear multiple paths to trigger this behavior, so it may be multiple bugs in the code, or multiple things that reference the same internal cause.

The video loop appears to pause most frequently when passing on a card that has already been selected. This may be reflecting observer bias, as passing on an already seen character outfit or position is more likely to result in clicking pass instead of smash. I have also seen it occur when passing on cards that haven't been seen in that particular run.

I've also seen the video loop pause when not pulling a card, but I haven't reproduced that consistently in a manner that is something I could report. I've noticed that the video framerate is linked to the current location of the slider on the bar, so wild speculation would be that location could be getting passed to the video speed in a manner that effectively stops the video.
