i like this stuff but which is better this or breeding season ?
I guess it depends, the animations for this game are a lot smoother but the general play is shifted away from breeding monsters and more just dungeoning, engaging with the combat systems, and doing story it seems. actually breeding monsters is pretty secondary ultimately just doing it for scenes with said monsters and having them be well stat-ed to sort of automate the farming aspect or bringing them into dungeons instead of the NPC's that are always available to go with you anyway, the farming itself being the way you grind up money or make food for either healing or boosts, you could also sell monsters or something for money but with the general ban on incest actually
getting a surplus of monsters is a little more difficult with remembering which one is related to which other ones because it's something like 3 generations back or something is the cutoff for the ban, so having an absolute stud with badass stats father a round of eggs with like 4 other monsters kinda sets you up for failure in a way. granted that bit is my opinion, you get eggs from the market and in dungeons anyway so it's not like you'll get stuck.
Breeding season had a lot of variety with monsters giving almost every one a futa, generbent, neoteny, and feral appearance but since the game was never finished most of those traited monsters don't really have any scenes, it turned into more or less just an appearance preference, though the game itself is definitely more focused on the breeding of monsters for specific traits and then the subsequent level/species requirement for contracts, with the ever present and exponentially increasing debt payments until it's fully paid off. There's also the NPC quests here that require you to have completed a number of contracts for them to raise their affection and then that opens up certain other quests and all of these are focused on providing a monster with stats, traits, and levels. kinda wish the wiki was still up but it's whatever.
Again, it ultimately depends. Which do you wanna do more? Focus on monster breeding or focus on other things. If you don't mind all the monster scenes only being with the player than cloud meadow isn't a
terrible choice, the combat isn't really that bad, and as I said earlier the available scenes are solidly animated imo (though there could be more of them).
If you want more monster on monster scenes that aren't just pixel-art animations and where you only really focus on breeding, then breeding season is your go to, just keep in mind the animations there are definitely a product of the engine they were made on, flash animations can be either really good or really stiff depending on how you do it. the most up to date versions animations remind me of playshapes like the mario is missing game or the legend of krystal game where the bodies are spilt into entities and then moved along a track. some are better than others but for example the male player on female cat is pretty rough.
If I could recommend you to other things similar to this general thing they'd be:
Breeders of the Nephelym is decent for what it is, I haven't played it in probably a year or so but I at least think I remember it having a decent amount of monster on monster stuff with breeding playing at least
a role in it
Mating Season is
very early on in development but to me it looks like it could be promising takes a 3d spin on breeding season with it being heavily influenced by it
Breeding Farm is also pretty good for what it is, I think I remember running into a couple bugs because I did some things out of order accidentally but I like the characters and scenes, I might have to redownload it because it's also been roughly a year since I've touched it.
