Doesn't this developer live in Hungary and not US etc. though?
It's not as cheap as a 3rd world country, but definitely cheaper than the US.
someone made a claim this developer lives in Brazil, i have the feeling this dev is literally living in a shitty US state.

For what I can tell the game is good but I can't seem to find the audio controls. The music is way too loud.

At the rate the game is going. It will hit version .5 when I turn 80. :KEK:

Japanese devs rely heavily on a relatively low cost of living- a cheap apartment can be had in Tokyo for around 500 bucks a month- and some specific social quirks to stay in business. There's tons of adult children in Japan who basically don't work and live off the family money because the average Japanese household is notoriously stingy with spending. So it is usually the kids who inherit their parent's money.

And the reality is that most eroge developers are not successful. Alicesoft is basically in a class all its own because developers in that industry typically live and die within a decade. And even that's a good run.

...And Alicesoft itself has had to go the route of microtransaction laden gacha games.
Alicesoft's survival was dependent on Rance X not sucking. Rance didn't go out with a bang, it went out with a bust and that was the final straw for their hardcore fans.

Starting in the mid 2010s visual novels got replaced with nukige, just like people's attention spans. Lilith taught the industry they could make a lot of money low effort pngs and ganba.

Rance games aren't visual novels.

Rance 10 was fine, the game was planned to be the series finale as early as the span between Rance 7 shipping and development starting on 8.

And it's not that VN's fell out of favor, they were never that popular and always struggled to break even. Nukige was just wildly more popular.

Came here to give this game another try after years of not checking it out, hoping it was closer to the breeding season we all lost.

Gotta say, I wasn't expecting a ton, but the game being 80% dialog and simple sprite animations was not on the bingo card.

Always do your due diligence before contributing to an early access game. S-Purple in particular has never actively completed a single project he's been a major contributor to and in the case of Breeding Season undermined it so completely that he actively destroyed the project and profited off it's destruction. Both in the direct sense- he made off with half the company's liquid money because his contract made him an equal partner- and in the less direct sense- people who had contributed to BS but didn't know what the drama was over went to Cloud Meadow.

Otherwise it is completely believable. Your contribution to a project is just that- a contribution. Not a voting share, not a controlling share. Don't contribute money you'll miss, never contribute to a project expecting you'll be seeing a finished product. If you can't do that, just wait for the finished product.

How many hours of content can the game offer in its current state?
It's a breeding sandbox mostly. If you rush the dungeons and story you probably could speedrun it in about 3-5 hours, but if you want to farm and breed gigachads to annihilate those dungeons later you can spend quite a few real days in it (way more if you don't use speed/incest mod)

So, just wanted to make sure : how does one use the album codes on the steam version of the game ? Because I don't see a text box anywhere where I could type it in
