Not much outside of an engine change, which came with its own set of issues and set-backs. For some reason, all of the games of this type (furry breeding) fall into development hell, or at least seem to take much longer than games of similar scope despite being supported well and insanely popular.

Breeding Season was basically finished and needed to have the animations filled out when this dipshit (the main artist for Cloud Meadow) killed it.

when I played this last the breeding part seemed to have no in game significance (just as it always had up to that point); to the plot or otherwise - the barn felt like a glorified gallery that was tucked away at the edge of the map. has this changed at all? it feels like they're focusing all their efforts into the wrong areas and not the one (the H art) that i'd say the majority of Patrons actually care about.

Like whats the point of making a breeding game if you don't actually see the point of breeding?
But somewhere in the game is note that says "We didnt so much focus on H content in this game, than on breeding and gardening". So didnt expect really big number of porn in this game.

I just don't get who has the money to support these shit projects. Are there some horny millionares with high hopes of a good furry hentai game or something? I couldn't be asked to give five bucks a month to the Red Cross, let alone "Soon To Be Abandoned Hentai Game #98235989", especially when there's just so much free porn out there lmao.

This is the single factor in a lot of H games failing imo. The reality is, nobody plays these games for the actual gameplay itself. There are very few outliers that even hit the threshold of being playable, enjoyable games. To quote a Bungie dev from a ViDoc long ago, players don't care how it works, just that it does.You take the H out of these titles, and like a tree with no roots, the shit just topples over.
It's nothing personal against these creators, either. They're super small groups of people, often just one individual, that is tasked with creating a solid experience. However, nobody cares about the why's or the how's, they just care about what IS. And what IS the appeal, the draw, the attraction of these titles is the H content. Point blank period.
The key ingredients of a good H title are simply the quantity and quality of the animations. More animations, the better. The more impact an animation has, the better. This alone requires a mega fuck ton of work to produce, and is a huge reason H devs should put their focus (if they wish for success) on animation.
Truth be told, when we want to game, we don't play these games. There are Indie studios and Triple AAA developers that due to their talent and budgets and produce games that can be enjoyed for hundreds and thousands of hours without H content. When it is time to bust a fat nut however, and normal porn just isn't today's flavor, that's when we turn to these games. The H content is the cake, the frosting and cherry on top is good gameplay.
Of course, there is immense nuance to this and when a proper balance is struck (Alien Quest), there is a massive amount of success.
