A game that's been in early access since 2013, with a £15 price tag. Weird that people might have questions about that, huh.

That aside, I still check back to this occasionally to see how it might be getting on because I always liked the idea and the art is generally awesome.

do these cows actually believe obvious scams like this one will ever be completed?
or don't they have anything better to spend their money on?
More like they don't care anymore. If the patreons are spending for this long, any sane people should be able to figure out already if they'd hv ever cared.

Also, v0.1.2.4g uses the same Album Code as v0.1.2.4e (Headstart)?

I haven't fully understood the situation her and I may be getting into trouble for saying this but ... here I go.

Question:
1. If it is assumed that all the H content has already been done, then shouldn't the version be with another number (example: V0.5) since if only story and world are missing, then the game is already very advanced?

2. If they only need to finish building the world ... then really the game for some is so good (in my case, not so good) as to continue supporting until the end, despite the fact that in terms of content, there will not be more new content (npc, mechanics and obviously H animations that for something is a game of this type)

I mean ... leaving animations aside, personally I find it boring that there are no new NPCs or elements to take into account, except that, from what I see in this version, if this is already close to ending, in In which case, I repeat, then shouldn't the version number be more advanced?

Although and without even someone having responded, I don´t know why I feel that this is another case of a project that started well, egos were given and egos later, the game must have started again due to creative differences, so that after they were juggled here and there, in order to make the most of the situation, they decided to reduce the work (from the beginning or over time) so that the promises were simple to fulfill, with the false hope that there would be more than that or, at the beginning they were clear and even so they are supported... although and again, even if it was the second scenario, as they saw that people continued to support even if there was no great development on the table, they took the easy route and are just waiting for the bubble to burst by then or take action or flee.

Again I repeat, I don´t know the story here, I don´t know if there was a disease (in which case I apologize) or if there was something more than the typical egos here and egos there, but in the end it ended up affecting the product to this point where it is now (don´t misunderstand this, it is fine but if you compare it with other proposals that are already out there [new and old] this, independent of being a re-born of its original idea in more than one sense remains very much behind other works and even his original idea, which is extremely sad but ... well, there is something that Furry-themed games are so rare that they get to see the light of day, unfortunately.

Brief historical overview.



HBomb gained popular support and financial stability sufficient to hire a small team which they did. . The project had acquired a hostile set of former supporters and people masquerading as supporters that just wanted to see the project die because of content inclusion.

As it was, HBomb had promised to produce at least one viewable and animated sex scene for each possible pairing but This is a permutation problem, and the number of animations is generally speaking very very large. This is actually what killed the project; even with 40K$/month and competent management and fair sharing of creative control, the team simply could not hire enough artists with sufficient skills to complete all the art assets needed to fulfill that basic promise on a timetable agreeable to the original and long term supporters.

. S-Purple shows up about a year into the whole thing; this is where the scope creep explodes and more and more monsters and animations are added to the todo list. Apparently, HBomb had not used a boilerplate contract, and they tried to negotiate their own contract law without or in spite of legal counsel. In any case, the IP law for the terms and conditions was bungled, and S-Purple retained full ownership of their art in the project such that they could withdraw their consent to use their IP at any time.

Shortly after S-Purple and (of Helltaker fame) joined the project, they put up a that would eventually attract , , , , and a variety of other artists to the project. .

Internally, there was arguments over the direction that the game should go; HBomb had made commitments to the community to produce the very specific and very simple relatively speaking breeding game. S-Purple basically thought it was boring and stupid, and he wanted to make a much larger scoped RPG that you basically see in Cloud Meadows.

I want to note that promises were made such that everyone would eventually get access to the full game and the supporters got the releases like a month ahead of everyone else; they were committed from the beginning to making the project for the whole community free to play, and when the project came crashing to a halt, they delivered on their promises by open sourcing the game which led to games like Breeding Farm, Breeders of the Nephylm, Portals of Phereon, and a variety of others. S-Purple has made no such commitments with Cloud Meadows.

S-Purple was NOT the lead dev at any point though at the end he made a play to become such officially which is exactly why the project ended; he became the lead artist. HBomb was the de jure lead of the project and the one controlling the bank accounts.

The actions of S-Purple demonstrate that his joining the project was never in good faith and his eventual stripping of the assets and migration to his own pet project was always the intent; he exploited a naive clause in his contract and milked the team for sizable pay for as long as he could before pulling an ultimatum where he attempted what amounts to a hostile takeover of the project, and his attempt failed destroying the project and his de facto competition. Then he walked away with half of the savings of the Breeding Season project per naive clauses in his contract.

It is interesting to me that the aftermath of all this has resulted in a bunch of people wandering around spreading misrepresentations of the situation. People basically accuse HBomb of stealing money from the project, but his interest was in completing the project and always had been from day one. Even after the fallout, he had made efforts to buy the controlling stake out from S-Purple to continue the project. S-Purple's refusal to sell the art assets would have required a complete rebuild from about version 4.3 up by a new lead artist, and the final version of the project was 7.7.1; what represented about 2 years worth of work by a small development team.

I think it is very prudent to treat any project that S-Purple is attached to with extreme skepticism.

Look, normally I'd be in this party, too, I feel people are WAY too often, in piracy communities no less, trigger happy with terms like "scam" whenever any of these crowdfunded projects find a single slip-up in development, but there comes a point where, if you aren't going to add more porn in, you know, a PORN game, you kind of might as well take it all out since... What's the point? You're only limiting your audience size while rendering what you still can get impatient in the process.

I'd agree with you if it was allot of other projects people in these sites call "scams" but at this point criticism and salt feels kind of warranted for this one, especially with the whole Breeding Season drama to consider.

well at least this game moved away from flash ...havent figured out how to play yet says i need to fix up my area or what ever but not sure how to do that looking forward to getting into the good stuff

First thanks for the info and I had no idea that the full explanation was almost nothing behind.

And then how I feared, that's why since I first saw Cloud meadow I felt that something was wrong. Independent of the fact that the easy route is taken in terms of H content by reducing it to just a number (careful, I´m not saying that it is wrong, but from what I understood, what killed the original idea was so much variation of the species, so I wonder ... why they simply didn´t first choose to make the originals and after the game was completed, if people only and exclusively wanted and supported, then they would do from the rest of the variations of the species, as happens in many other projects where first the minimums are completed and then they continue with all the requests and depending on either the support to said demand or by voting, but in short, the past to the past). To which I wonder, if S-purple wants to make an RPG and from what I see, his approach is more to make one than one that has or includes H then why just didn't he start Cloud Meadow as a job without H? If people already followed it for the art and clearly from the beginning the game distances itself from the original ideas, why he didn´t take better movement and remove the H content so that he can have a greater scope to attract support and therefore more money if that is what matters to him more than anything. It is that I say... if because of what he did it made it clear that truth and commitment aren´t his strengths, then what stopped him for first... yes, starting Cloud Meadow as an approach to the original idea more focused on the game than the H but over time, gradually removing it to replace the original followers with others that, as they are more universal (because of the project, as they become a work that is freer of access), will end up becoming more. I say... cases like this even in the great ones of the world occurred, Fornite started as something completely different and look at what it ended up being.

Oh wait, now that I fall... aren't we in that part yet? I mean, regardless of how I just found out about the story, wasn't the last H update almost a year ago? And if in case that was the last one to be given from H and the game is still far from over, then it is at a perfect point where at any moment he can remove the content H, add clothes to the bugs and he can sell the idea as a more familiar. Damn... now my stomach hurts to know the chaos that is this.

P.D: Again, why are Furry games cursed? Unless they are 3D or they come directly from Japan or other parts of that side of the world, almost nothing prospers and what it does are very small things. Because come on, the last great ones that had either have entered an indefinite hiatus or, they are in an eternal second coming of Christ.

I mentioned it somewhere already, but stardew valley, pretty much a much better version of this but without porn, was made by just ONE guy in FOUR years, without any crowdfunding. As has been many pretty impressive indie games. People vastly overestimate how hard it is to make a lot of these games, and those that are more complicated, are actually usually using whole chunks of asset store or free code and assets to speed things up and cover the insane amount of patchwork the 'creators' made 'their' 'game' out of, with their actual contribution often mostly being just the thread holding it all together. So no, people aren't just throwing the word scam around, most of those, especially that receive any kind of sizable funding, have more than one person working on it and don't have a finished product in five years or less (probably more like 2-4 years) ARE a literal scam. Don't believe me? Go watch some indie game dev diaries of just how much a person actually wanting to do something, even with no prior experience and no financial backing can achieve in a fraction of the span of time these games take with very questionable results, if any.

Is there a beginners guide for this game.
I know how to plant and such but have no idea on anything else like how the fuck do you repair your house that everyone tells you need to repair?
How do you clean the area so you can use your helpers?
How do you make the money to feed everyone with only 200 coins?

Let's not pretend as if H-Bomb was perfect. He was far from it in fact. Most notably, he just vanished for 3 months at some point and drained savings meant for other stuff (excluding paying the team members; they were paid) and bought a piano to woo some chick. He had a questionable work ethic at best and would go MIA for the first two weeks of each month, only to crunch the last few days to catch up on what the rest of the team has been doing.

That said, he was at least consistent enough to never get in the way of the other team members and he would always be back to secure a release-deadline.

S was "working" much more frequently, but his "work" would consist mostly of doodling and drawing concepts, while Vanilly and FleetArt did most of the work. In the end Vanilly quit, and FleetArt was in the process of quitting, because of a lack of leadership from both H and S.

But it was S that went behind everyone's back and worked on a competitor to BS while still getting money for BS and it was S who kept H from working with the existing art.
