That's the sad reality of most Patreon/SubscribeStar cash grab games. Development is intentionally slow to maximize profits. Usually the games get abandoned or they get marked as finished when the devs can't be arsed anymore. Big props to devs that make good games in a reasonable amount of time.

Development wasn't nearly as slow at the beginning as it was now.
At least in the early days, we actually got new content.
To be honest, I still feel it's a bit much to group up most crowdfunded h-games with troubled development with something like this. Especially when I can look up my browser window when in this forum and see a Nutaku link. Half of their F2P lineup are bigger scams than half the games I've seen accused of being scams.
That said, it SEEMS like they should be adding more h-scenes soon? I don't know if they're pixel blob messes and shouldn't count, but yeah?

They haven't added any new H-scenes for forever dog, just those Sprite scenes that are more unintentional comedy then porn

It's as if... they're trying to make anything but a porn game but they know it'll be so mediocre it'll never sell well, so they use the h aspects as a front to lure in horny cashcows...

it seems you are not aware the situation, from previous comment posts here(in this thread and also you can find my username previously here), JudgeHeath(Game Developer) said "HD scenes are too expensive so they decided to break down to small sex sprites" so he said it here tho.... oh wait let me screenshot the comment post and paste it here.

This guy is really good at scamming - a textwall of lies to make you believe it.
Makes you wonder how come many other smaller teams with much less funding can do tons of animated "HD H-scenes".
TBH, I'm more surprised so many people here still hope this game can become better.
Wake up peeps, this dev is not making a porn game, they are making a money milking machine and it's already achieved its goal, why would they put more work into it?

Why would that be a feature in a game with breeding mechanics? That's silly. Breeding? In a game that advertises breeding? Good joke.
It's a heavily unfinished game that's not delivering on anything, or is being delivered extremely slowly. The original breeding farm game was so much better than this, in a much shorter span of time. It's a shame there was a disagreement with the artist.

If HD sprites are so god damn expensive, what the fuck stopped them from making FUCKING SIXTY???
I worked in a few startups before, and it's pretty common to burn up a pile of cash ("venture capital" if u wanna sound fancy) up front to increase company value (or maybe in this case to retain player base / patron base)
For example, think of how free-to-play mobile games with mediocre graphics/gameplay spent most of their budgets on highly cinematic ads and famous influencers

sadly they will never add anymore of those HD scenes which are those are the full sex scene image each monster breeder.
and i can't accept there "reasonable excuse" which is a bullshit decision on them, at this point they know they will just keep milking their patreon supporters until their game stops updating.
edit: if you look at JudgeHeath statement they might need another funding for 90k to hire another staff to create these HD scenes, which means they need bigger funding.... still i dont trust their statement if they need bigger funding because other small dev teams do create better with manageable money budget, early cloud meadow version since 2016 they are still making HD scenes at that time and their budget was around at that time was 25k a month in their patreon, and remember team nimbus did have 50k dollars a month this was during 2017-2018 which these guys are earning a lot of money from patreon supporters
2 things i can speculate from them:
1. could be their unrealistic request if they want bigger funding regarding what JudgeHeath said.
or
2. S-purple stop being productive on HD scenes and decide to milk and play safe in their business for a long-term to stay in business.
