I'm sure most people will agree with me about this. The devs just doing nothing but sprite sex scenes because it takes less time and money is just stupid. I understand doing hd scenes does take more time and money but I don't want every new scene to be an hd scene. The scenes I want to be hd are the ones involving the mc. The non-sprite sex scenes are great. The monsters fucking each other can be nothing but sprites. I paid for the product I should get my money's worth from said product. I just think Team Nimbus could be doing things differently with this game so that the fans are happy. I'd rather not see this game fizzle out because I've enjoyed it and don't want it to seem like I ended up wasting my money. I understand you can't please everybody but you have to at least make compromises somewhere. If that means updates take longer then so be it.

This whole lie is built up based on this statement: " It takes an animator about 1 full month per HD"
I'm not in the industry, but I know it's not how it works: You don't build everything up from scratch, you use existing assets.
So even if there are prototype / base models that requires 1 full month per, you only build very few of them.
And why those specific numbers like "90k a month"? It's in case some billionaire really want those HD scenes.

bruh its 6 yrs later and still they are doing bug fixes on their dungeon crawling mode to which NO ONE LIKES DUNGEON CRAWLER in a BREEDING FARM porn game(they really want to attempt copy from Stardew Valley game).
They made themselves a poor decision in order for longevity of their own game, because those HD sex scenes got many of us attracted with the artwork style and sex animation are good until they stop making HD sex scenes for reduced work time and money like what you said.
Many of us here were driven by those HD sex scenes if they keep making them in the future but they themselves becoming lazier in their work shows they don't want to create a high quality porn game anymore.

Bait and switch. I've said it before, Schwig has been trying to make his big dream rpg since his last two failed projects and the porn is just a way to trick people into supporting it.
After seeing the latest public post on patreon, I don't get why this is a thing:
It's solid af animation but why is a monster girl farming game with the best farming hentai setup goin around with 10/10 combat animations but skips on the porn animations in a game marketed for cultured folks.
This is just me ranting in vain but I don't get why they are aiming for a stardew hentai with top notch combat animations and then just whips out meh pixel sex animations over their HD animations in their "peak".
I messaged the dev's at some point a few monthes ago and their response was that they apparently overworked themselves over the HD scenes such as these:
Honestly really sucks that they dropped these quality HD animations in favor of the new pixel animations when that's what mostly likely drew most folks to the game + monster farming concept.
Tentacles thrives is another patreon project that whips out consistent high quality HD animations every other month with the caveat of sacrificing the gameplay for solid af hentai despite having a 4th of cloud meadow's budget xD
I feel like sacrificing hentai for gameplay in this scenario is just a huge waste of potential... These devs seem fond of juggling too many balls at a time like so many other patreons :d
(I'm not even particularly fond of hentai animations after having experienced how erotic some doujins/VN/CG galleries can be but this game had some of the best animations on the hentii market.)
Masterpiece hentai content for me is the shit you return to for the scenes/content years after experiencing it which this one has but flunks everything else

Those animations are horrible when it comes to gameplay.
They artificially SLOW DOWN the game by making the fights longer as there is no way to skip them or make the animaitons faster.

To answer your question, they needed some bait to lure those paying patrons and could you see them earning even 1/4th of that money if they just did their not!Stardew valley farm/dungeon simulator? I sure as fuck couldnt.
Spurple killed breeding season for this game as he knew he wouldnt get as far as he does with this minimal work that they do now. If you had breeding season still alive then it would mean less patrons and people would actually demand work to be made as not to be be hind bs in content, also the fact that they wouldnt be the monopoly that we see today.
Question to people more bored that I am, has anyone here counted how many HD animations Breeding Season had compared to this turd?
So many 10/10 characters we'll never see a sex scene of. Excelent art dumped on a trash game
