If there was a single title who should have jumped on the AI bandwagon, it was this one.

They will stay if their affinity is high enough (gold hearts pop out when you pet them) AND you must attend their graduation.
Now, I'm not saying that a lot of the problems with this game come from Authorial Emotional Issues[tm], but holy hell that's projection. "Bad luck, your monster won't love you unless you go to her graduation" is pretty fucking on the nose for a Western dev crashing out.

Wait, they're using AI now - haven't checked in on this dumpster fire in a while but this is great!
Does anyone have an example screenshot? I need a good chuckle today

So, what's the problem with the game. I played it a couple of years ago when the last floor was the sixth, I liked it, but then I somehow forgot about the game. Since then, there seems to be more content in terms of dungeons, but I can't help but notice the rather low ratings, I didn't seem to notice anything in the discussion. So what's the problem?

The creator milks his patrons. Look at the changelogs, it's just tiny patches. He barely ever actually adds new content because he's realized people will give him tons of money either way. It's been going on for years.

The stuff currently in the game is pretty good, but it's obvious the game will likely be in a perpetually stagnant, unfinished state. At least until the Patreon starts to dry up. Then he'll probably put out a hasty 1.0 and move on to a new project.
